omg this was amazing ....the service was excellent. they want above and beyond what I expected... I totally refer this restaurant to every one..
Joe's food is AMAZING!! Everything is from scratch and absolutely delicious. The bread is beyond wonderful. Be sure to order the herb olive oil. OMG......
I would compare the food to a Impastato's or Sal and Judy's! It is delicious and the owners Joe and Paulie came out to the tables and greeted all of the guest, made us feel like family. The homemade bread is insanely good. We had the chicken parmigiana and the ravioli's both were great.
This is authentic Italian food. The owners and cooks are from Italy. I am from NJ and this Italian food is as good or better than in the Northeast. I do not eat Italian food in the south because it is not authentic, but Joe's food is the real thing. The red sauce or red gravy (as NJ Italians call it) is delicious. Their pastas are homemade. Delicious veal parmigiana! The best rolls and shrimp and artichoke dip app. You get so much food for a reasonable price. Beautiful restaurant, but not high prices. This should never be compared to Italian Pie or Olive Garden. Give it a try.
Not what I expected. I'd put it in the class of an Italian Pie. Was hoping for a Sal & Judy's type. As soon as I saw the menu and prices I knew it wasn't what I was looking for.
Eat at their Sulphur ,La. location and it WAS GREAT
So tonight my family and I decided to go eat at the Sicily's location in Slidell, La. First off the food was terrible. The salad was old and brown, the dressing tasted spoiled, and the cheese on some of the pizzas smelled like they got cooked with out of date cheese. About 5 minutes in to our meal our child says he sees a bug. I didn't think anything of it because we were close to a window and up figured it was outside. However, it was inside and it was a cockroach! My husband tried to kill it but it got away so he informed an employee who in turn told the manager. (Dont know her name, older lady, dirty blonde hair). Nothing was done about it and we didn't see it again so we continued to eat our meal. Well the roach showed up again this time on the wall crawling next to everyone. Again my husband tried to kill it with the help of another gentleman but it got away. The third and final time it showed up again it right next to my child's face and it ended up crawling on to my table and into myplate! Needless to say my child was terrified. My husband then proceeded to successfully kill it this time, ON MY PLATE, and then went to talk to the manager. She showed no concern at all and said that "this is Louisiana, what do you expect?". She knew about this roach crawling around us for a good 30 minutes and did nothing about it. I am uninterested in going back out of disgust and I probably never will. I will also be sure to tell everyone that I know about this! She gave us some of our money back but I still don't think that was enough. I am uninterested in a gift certificate so please don't even bother. I will not be going there for a while if at all. I will also find a way to contact a health inspector about this and explain the managers severe lack of care and cleanliness with the business she is trying to run.
