not only do i consign my kids ...

not only do i consign my kids clothing at this adorable store i also buy almost everything for my kids here too. the selection is fantastic and i find the prices to be more than reasonable. i have bought many smock dresses from this store and never spent more than $16.50 on one and they usually cost at least $30.00 retail. the owner/employees are extremely friendly and helpful. i get compliments ALL THE TIME on how cute my kids are dressed and i tell them all to go to itsy bitsy closet! The bow (NEW) selection is the best in town and those are at an amazingly low price too. it's no wonder that this amazing store has been open and thriving for more than 7 yrs now!!

For the people who purchased the 4-wheeler, spending a $1000.00 at Itsy Bitsy Closet you were not complaining about the high prices then, now were you. Yes, you did buy a battery operated 4-wheeler but lets get the story straight. You were told you could bring it back if there was something wrong with it. The first phone call I was told the battery charger did not work and it was confirmed that it did work. When Robert called, he told me the handlebar throttle did not work and it was tested and it did work. Then I believe he said it road too ruff, and it had been driven through water. When I confirmed that the charger and throttle worked, I was then told the battery was corroded. I was on the phone with your husband and I asked Dan, who is a mechanic, to look it over for me. Dan confirmed there was no corrosion on the battery of the 4 wheeler. Then he changed his story again and said you had to unscrew everything underneath it to see all the wires.

I explained how my consignment software works. When items are purchased the tickets are scanned and money sets up in that consignors account and you can not delete that transaction. I also explained if there was something really wrong with it then I would eat the cost of $150.00 and that would come out of my pocket. I did offer to reconsign under your account and give you 50% instead of the 40% which every consignor receives. That was not good enough. He wanted me to sell it for him and give him the 100% profit. Wait, I thought there was something wrong with it. Why would you sell something to somebody else that you claim is defective. Now you know that's just not right.

You said it right, you found something cheaper on craigslist and decided to try and get your money back with all different excuses. You did not think that I would have it checked out to ensure the 4 wheeler was defective or not.

As for you saying that I am greedy, rude, and not to smart. That is untrue. When 150.00 dollars would come out of my pocket for an impulse buy I have to be cautious. Why am I rude, because he did not get over on me. You say I am not to smart. You are the ones that could not get your story straight.

We are a second hand store so I am sorry that I could not give a factory warranty on the 4 wheeler that Robert requested over the phone. I am sorry you had a very disappointing experience.

Buyer beware!! This place not only has ridiculously high prices as previously mentioned, but the customer service is horrible. Despite the higher prices, my husband and I were loyal customers. We had already spent almost $1000 there in just a few months on our two daughters. Well, we recently purchased a battery operated vehicle for my daughter there (for a ridiculous high price of $150 which my husband went with just trying to support the business)and were told we could take it home, inspect it, and return it within 7 days if we were unsatisfied. So we took it home, inpected it, and my husband came to the conclusion that due to wear and tear that he found within the vehicle, corrosion of wires etc., that it wasn't worth the hefty price of $150(he had found them MUCH cheaper on craigslist). Well, we went to return the vehicle within the 7 day time frame and were told that we could leave the vehicle and the owner would take care of us on Monday when she was in. Well, we received the phone call and were told there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and we could not get our money back. Not only that, but no store credit, NOTHING. The only thing the owner, Tess, offered, was to reconsign the item. So in addition to the 60% she had already made on it, she wanted to take MORE of our money! ! My husband and I both spoke with her and she was Totally unreasonable and unwilling to work with us in any way, except to take more of our money for a product we were unhappy with. Greedy, rude, and not too smart if you ask me- my husband and I will not be back and they will lose way more than the measly 40% that would have been lost in the $150. With poor customer service like this, I cannot imagine this place being in business for long. Very disappointing...we had really enjoyed our family outings there:(
