Mr. Dorr took my car overnight for repair and busted my engine. When I sued him he claimed that it was not him but somebody else.The judge told me I have to prove that was him. Mr Dorr has a long legal history in Slidell Municipal Court. Customers sued him and always lost. The judge is probusiness type.. Stay away from Mr. Dorr.
this place is as unreputable as I have ever encountered. they did unauthorized work to my vehicle and the estimate that started out at 300 wound up being 1800, the owner said if I didn't pay the full amount that I couldn't have my car, after pleading with him that I could pay over half now and the remainder when I got my next payday from work he refused, and to top it off he charged me storage fees, when I finally got paid I called to let them know I would be picking the car up, I asked the employee on the phone if I could pay with a check, he said yes, when I arrived I asked to know which machine shop my car was sent to for the unauthorized work the owner refused to tell me and then told me I couldn't pay with a check. my daughter was already in the car about to drive away and the owner opened her door and took the keys out of the ignition and said CASH ONLY ! he made me go to the bank and get cash. UNBELIEVABLEDO NOT USE THIS PLACE, TERRIBLE,TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS KEITH DORR IS AN ABSOLUTE THUG
So I show up at this business at 5:02 PM. They are closed at 5:30 PM. I ask Mr. Dorr about my cold air intake filter e.g. might it need cleaning based upon time instead of mileage. He asked me if it was enclosed or not. I said it was not enclosed. He then says "I can't look at it today, because I have to leave in ten minutes" I said "are you open until 5:15 or 5:30?" He said "I have a doctors appointment so I have to leave early". I told him that it was not a good idea to close early & I gave him examples of why not. He then told me with eyes & facial muscles twitching that he works 70 hours a week & that he had been in business for 41 years. He also said "well if a person can't come back the next day...". Bottom line: make doctor appointments during the day or much later after work, don't close your business early, you had two other people working in the shop so get them to help me, my car was 50 feet from his person & the filter was not enclosed so it could have been easily viewed &/ or wiped to see if it needed cleaning. Mr. Dorr stated that it had to be disassembled to see if the filter needed cleaning. NOT. He turned off the lights in the reception area 15 minutes before closing time. He then said something to his staff & sped out of the parking lot. The service area was still open, but when one of the gritty mechanics saw me he started closing the bay doors. I asked about the horsepower on a vehicle they were working on. He said it had 800 HP. I found out later that it had much, much less from the other mechanic. I didn't trust the new HP numbers I was given either. When I asked to look at the engine they said "no we're getting ready to walk outta here". This was ten minutes before closing time. Wonder what Mr. Dorr told them before he also left early?? When I mentioned that someone might have stage 4 cancer they then allowed me to look at the engine. This owner & his current employees have a huge control problem, attitude problem & integrity issues.
I recently purchased a used car for my son from Frederick Jones. He had been looking at several cars and when I asked for the price to make out the check he quoted $200 MORE than advertised. Unfortunately I did not have the printout from the original ad so was not in a position to argue, however, we verified he overcharged $200 when we looked at the ad on returning home. He removed the ad minutes later. I immediately sent him a text message informing him of the $200 increase in price and he has not responded. Granted I should have been better prepared, but this is not good business practice in my opinion.
Fantastic. Fair prices for expert auto repairs which are done right the 1st time. The owner has 40+ years with auto servicing and will detect problem and call you before any work is done. I have referred 5 or 6 to Accurate and all were VERY satisfied and have or will return for repairs. One of several businesses that deserve being labeled as one of "SLIDELL'S BEST KEPT SECRETS."
I was NOT please with Deep South. I brought my car in for a wash and when I get it back, the paint on the front bumper is peeling then the owner is trying to convince me that I brought my car in that way. I had bugs and he claimed the bugs ate the paint off but when I took it thru the car was SEVERAL time, paint NEVER came off. They put something on my car or possibly scrubbed it extremely hard for the paint to chip. The one of the kids that walk there told me that my car had been painted. Excuse me, I purchased the car brand new. The owner then called his girlfriend as to who he referenced BAE. She started yelling and cussing stating that he didn’t have to explain anything else to me because he already told me what the problem was. So with that being said, I got in my car as she was continuing to cuss about my car because it wasn’t high end and I left. The owner insisted that I google was he was telling me or he would google it for me and then could I tell him >>> he was right. My question.... can google tell me that you’re place of business is unprofessional and I will be sure to tell ALL my friends about the lack of professionalism that was shown to me as a customer
