We were traveling cross country and found the manual transmission in our older Subaru was at death's door, and had blown transmission oil all over the bottom of the car. We had it towed to Schulte Subaru of Sioux Falls, and they provided us a loaner vehicle. When a rebuilt transmission arrived (after two weeks), they installed it very promptly and it has performed satisfactorily since. My problem is that we also paid them to replace the front disk brake rotors, since the brake rotors were warped, and pounding when applied, and too thin to re-machine. When we left after paying for new brakes rotors, as well as the rebuilt transmission, we immediately found the brakes were still pounding. Because we were desperate to get home, we continued to our home and a month later paid a local shop to repair the front brakes. That shop found that the non-working surfaces of the front brake rotors were crusted with years of rust and clearly had not been replaced. So while the transmission job was completely satisfactory, the repair of the front brakes was not, and in fact, had not been performed at all, yet we paid about $225 for work that had not been done. Perhaps an oversight, but still a $225 oversight.

I found a suburban with low miles on their website and called about it right away. They were very friendly and had great customer service. I had a couple phone calls with them asking questions and they were very knowledgeable and never made me feel like a burden. I decided to make the 4 hour trip from North Dakota to check it out and I'm glad I did. They had a lot of nice looking vehicles on the lot when I got there and I was greeted right away. Overall it was a great experience!
