Josh’s practice focuses primarily on litigation matters in the areas of family law, commercial law, estate litigation, general civil ligation, and criminal defense. Josh has extensive trial and litigation experience in state and federal courts throughout South Dakota. His litigation practice includes actions involving breach of contract, fraud, construction and real estate disputes, and tort actions. His criminal defense practice extends to both state and federal courts and all levels of offenses. His family law practice extends to many areas, including complex/high asset divorce, paternity actions, custody disputes, surrogacy, egg donation, and adoption matters. Josh also assists clients with transactional matters, including business formation, commercial leases, asset purchases, and real estate purchases.

Following my time at USF, I attended the University of South Dakota School of Law, where I earned my law degree in 2007. I started my legal career as a Deputy State’s Attorney in Minnehaha County. During my time as a prosecutor, I was able to handle a wide variety of cases, ranging from simple traffic tickets to first-degree murder.
