Customer

I have been a customer of Valley Produce since they opened at the Reseda location. I was in the area of Moorpark and thought it would be great to shop at the Simi Valley location. I went to the Service Deli to purchase many different lunchmeat cuts, when I was noticed that the young girl slicing the meat wasn't cutting the lunchmeat I ordered correctly. She was cutting in 1/3 slices and 1/2 the original size of the lunchmeat size, and making it thick at one end and thin at the other end of the cuts. This wasn't ok with me, and I asked her if she could use another machine, because I was going to make a platter of lunchmeat for a party I was having on Saturday for friends and family. These cuts were done terrible and the slices were a shaved in different sizes not presentable on a platter, A man named Tacho who was in charge when the Manager Mark wasn't there happened to be there, and I asked if they could use another slicer since the girl was having problems cutting the lunchmeat. He said "No", and I told what was happening. He was down right rude and said "Do you want to pay double the price". I could believe he was talking to me this way, in front of many customers who were waiting to be helped. I wasn't paying a discount for this lunchmeat to be cut this way. I wanted to have full slices for the cold cut not 1/3 or a 1/2 of the slice. The people waiting to get serviced were applauded at how he talked to me. This is unacceptable behavior the way in which he talked to me. I told the girl at the checkout that I wanted to talk to the owner or the store manager in regards to this matter . She told a woman named Patricia about the situation. Patricia was very kind and apologized for Tacho's behavior. She asked Tacho to give me the name of the owner and he would give that information out, because he knew what he did was not ok. All I wanted was to have my lunchmeat sliced in the original shape of the cold cut and sliced thin not in wedges. Patricia told me to talk to Mark the store manger, but he wasn't there. She also said that I should go talk to Tacho after my order was completed at the register. I went to Tacho's office on the right and wanted to talk to him, but he ignored me and was acting like a jerk.. My father happened to be shopping and saw me there, and said to him that he shouldn't be treating customers that way or they will loss business. Tacho shut his door, and didn't apologize for his behavior. I and my father were very upset with his rudeness. This man should be fired for the way he treats customers. This is not acceptable behavior for a man who is suppose to be managing a grocery store. Tacho showed many customer there how unprofessional and rude he was. Having a man there like that is not good business smarts for the Valley Produce Owner and the Store Manager. They will never see me there, and I'm sure that many of those customers won't be shopping there. They came up to me when I was shopping and said that I should let upper manager know about the man they had in charge that day. If he worked for me, and treated my customers that way he would be FIRED on the spot. Think twice before shopping to buy lunchmeat there. They need to buy better lunchmeat slicers that cut the cold cut correctly. They also need to get people that aren't so rude and unprofessional. I have been a loyal customer, but I will never ever shop at the facility again. Customer should be respected not talked to like they are dirt.
