My favorite place to eat when I'm out in Simi Valley. Lovely restaurant. I love the sushi rolls and teriyaki. The teppanyaki is always a fun time.

After owning a built in unit purchased from Barbeques Galore for 15 years it was time to replace it. We went to the Simi BBQ Galore store since we had been happy with the last unit from their company. We ended up buying a unit for about $2500 that they carry but is made by another company. We used installers provided by the store and everything was good except for one of the burner controls. The unit has three burners, two of which are fine but the third was very hard to push in and out and operate from the day it was installed. We got this toward the end of the 2013 summer, so we used the unit with the issue on one burner and thought it would loosen up eventually. We didn't use it much until this summer, a month or two ago, and the problem had not gotten any better so we called to see about having this issue fixed. We were told to call the manufacturer and they said any part needed is warrantied but not labor. Even though the issue was there from day one we would need to pay labor. We called the store and Jonathan said the store would take care of it and he would get their installers to resolve the issue. We hadn't heard so when we checked back Jonathan said he was wrong and they would not take care of it, we would need to have the manufacturer repair it and we would have to pay the labor charge. We will now do that but the most unfortunate part of this is the way in which this matter was handled. Customer goodwill is clearly not important and the verbal interaction with Jonathan was less than pleasant. Needless to say we won't shop at the Simi Valley BBQ Galore in the future or any other BBQ Galore store. If you don't want a risk of having to come out of pocket if you have a problem with a brand new expensive BBQ unit then don't buy it at BBQ Galore. I can't emphasize enough how unpleasant the post purchase experience was in this situation.
I just called to order a take out and the person who answered the phone said it will be an hour to an hour and a half to pick up the order. And I was in the middle of asking her about the entree I was ordering and she hung up on me! Bad service all the way around!!!
Stopped by for a few rolls on a Sunday night. It was pretty slow on the dinner side(vs. the teppanyaki). Our server was great. Our rolls came quick and were delicious. If spicy rolls are your favorite, I highly recommend the Firecracker Roll.
