I have been going here for many yrs & they have always done an excellent job washing the interior & the exterior. Recently I noticed back seat, which had been the home of my five yr-old son's car seat for the past 3 yrs.. I realized that all the apple juice, Kool-aid & other assorted drinks that have been spilled have left the back-seat looking dreadful. Anyways I asked them to clean the backseat as well as my regular wash. I wasn't expecting most of it to come up, but to my surprise, they scrubbed on that thing for almost 45 minutes and it looks Beautiful!!! It almost looks new!! No more stain from juice being spilled and then walking across it with muddy shoes. No more melted skittles stains. Nothing. It was Awesome!! And they only charged me $30 for the back bench seat. I didn't think it was possible for it to all to come out, but it did. And mainly due to them working on it for so long. I will forever recommend them to everyone!
Worst wash I have ever seen. If you want to pay $40 to see a couple lazy guys spray antifreeze all over your vehicle and then not wipe it off by all means go here. By the time I got home it looked like my truck went through bright green rain. They barely vacuumed and lazily missed many spots when washing, drying, and coating the plastics. I spent 45 minutes cleaning up their mess when I got home. Been coming here for about 20 years, 4 vehicles, this is the last they will ever see from me, my family and friends. Been going downhill for a while. I wish I could upload these pics here. There was green fluid dripping from everywhere and the rag I used to redo everything they "washed" was black when I was done. I have seen better carwashes by kids in a parking lot with a hoses and buckets.
After years of patronizing local businesses, I have NEVER written a bad review about any business, especially in our town. Unfortunately, the need to do so is rightfully warranted today. The old LDykstra Carwash in Simi Valley was purchased by the previous owner of the First Street Carwash. Not only had I gone there for years, but the owner's children and mine attended the same schools many, many years ago. I baby my car, and wash it more myself, since the economy took a down turn. However, one afternoon in early October, I took it to the newly remodeled LDykstra Carwash with an introductory coupon offer they advertised. The event is one I will regret, and I will never patronize any carwash in Simi Valley ever again. To make a long story short, the newly remodeled facility, ripped-off the lower panel below the driver door that spands from the left front tire to the rear tire. The panel was then destroyed in the machinery, and could not be reattached to my vehicle. The owner stated, "It was obviously lose, and blew-off as it went thru the wash/drying process". His response was totally unexceptable. It was obvious, my vehicle was in pristine condition prior to bringing it to the facility, and that their machinery had damaged my car.He said, he would review the seventy-five cameras they have on the site, to locate where the damage ocurred, and he would call me back with the outcome. Two weeks later I phoned, and my call was never returned. I then sent a letter, wanting to know where things stood on repairs to my vehicle? No response was ever received.I even offered in my letter, that I had a friend in the auto industry, who was able to get the replacement parts at a discounted rate. It could save him a substantial amount of money. I was not looking to sue his business, and only wanted my car returned back to it's original condition. Two months have passed, and I have decided to pay for the repairs myself. I was a good customer, but will never do business with this location, or any other car wash again. As a result of his actions, he has damaged other businesses. Believe it when the signs state, "This location is not responsible for damages to your vehicle", and decide if it's worth going?
