The tech came early and spent some time working on our dryer. He did a great job in locating the problem and replaced the worn out part. We have only great things to say about SEARS for this appointment and all the other ones that we have had in the past! Thanks!
The tech has been to our house twice and has failed twice to make the ice maker work. First time the parts weren't on the truck so we had to wait another two weeks and an available time frame to install. Tech showed up and needed my help to install (he lacked the needed tools) the new part. Before leaving the Tech said it should produce ice in a couple of hours, well has of today it has been additional 5 days with no ice. I called for a third appointment, kind of hoping that they would be anxious to fix this problem I was put at the end of the line and have to wait another 10 days for the Tech to return. I feel lucky that we paid only $100 for the extended repair warranty for the refrigerator while SEARS eats all of the extra time and materials. By the time the Tech fixes the problem, SEARs could have given me a new refrigerator for the price of this repair.
We ;had excellent service from our repair technician. they gave us a time and the day of the appointment he called and told us where he was and how much longer he would be He actually arrived a little earlier. He did a good job of fixing my washer and cleaned up afterwards. He was congenial and polite. One couldn't ask for more in a repair person.
Annually I have a Craftsman service technician come out to service my riding lawn mower. Very easy to call to set up the service, 1-800-469-4663. The service technician calls you in the morning to discuss the time he will show up and confirm the service you have ordered. Once they arrive they again confirm the price and the work to be done, if anything out of the ordinary comes up, they will talk to you. I have them install new mulching blades yearly, never a additional charge. Doesn't take long and they clean under the machine while it is hoisted up. I ask for service technician Mark B, he is great!
I was scamed by the repair man, he took my dishwasher apart to do the initial inspection, put it back together, hit the circuit breaker, and charged me $250.00. He had 2 miner parts to order and scheduled a returned visit to replace them. When he returned me or my dog did not hear him knock so I missed him. I contacted the company and they said that he had reported the repair as completed. The part, were very minor so I installed them, tested the dishwasher and it was in the non working state as it was before he did his service. I then contacted the company and they scheduled another service visit. That repairman checked the machine, reset the circuit breaker and it was working again. He told me that I needed 2 circuit boards and that would bring the total repair over $640.00. The point is if I would have been told this from the start, I would have paid for the initial service charge of $70.00 and replaced the dishwasher. He has hobbled me with the big useless repair bill, and now I can't, I feel as though I have been taken advantage of, I'm 74years old and a lot of places like to scam the elderly.
Very good service from the furnace repairman Glenn technician #711648 While servicing our furnace he spotted a pipe water leak which would have flooded the furnace room . We caught it in time to reduce damages and repaired . Very happy and he went out of his way to clear the water . Thank You ever so !
I've been trying to get my refrigerator repaired since the first of May. Today is Aug 13. It was a week after I called for the 1st appt. Parts were ordered, arriving 2 weeks later. A part wasn't included in the shipment. Another week without a refrigerator. Finally the parts were installed, but repair didn't have the tools to finish the work, a couple more days to get it finished. The refrigerator worked for approx a month, then went out completely again! Once again a week for repair to come. Same problem! I was told a leak wasn't sealed properly the 1st time. Repair spent 3-4 hours sealing properly and refilled, and said it was fixed. An hour after repair left I discovered, yes the fan was running, but the refrigerator was not cooling down. outside. Once again I called for repair. This time the appt was only a few days, however repair was over booked and didn't make it to my home. Now another 10 days for repair. I'm not holding my breath it will actually get fixed then.
This is the second appliance we purchased at Sears that has a serious design flaw. I'm referring this time to a Kenmore double wall oven. For the second time, the oven door handle on the bottom oven came off while baking. This time I almost dropped a tray of hot bacon and grease. So what's the answer they provide; they send out another handle. Have just seen Sears get worse and worse over time, but it's nice to have an extended warranty that is somewhat better than the other services that offer warranties. And, this review is directed to Yelp by Sears, they like many other businesses don't want to deal with the customer. I can guarantee that if this happens again and causes an accident, Sears will get hit with a lawsuit.
We have a real issue with the quality of the Sears product. This was the third failure of a two + year old Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator in less than 6 months. Both failures took over three weeks each for the diagnosis and parts installation. That is UNACCEPTABLE. However, the service technicians did the best they could under the circumstances of the product and what they stock on their trucks. They were very professional, polite, explained what was wrong and worked until the issue was fixed.
In January of 2015 I called to get my water softner fixed as it was running but no water going through it , no salt being used. Well you finally sent someone who knew (hopefully ) what they are doing, 1 YEAR LATER!!!! I have been calling to get repair for 1 year yes that is correct 1 full year!! I have told your staff that my water softner is not working I have had your supervisors argue with me that "according to our techs it is working fine". Then Finally a tech came in December 2015 who did one test on it and said yes it is broken and has been for some time. He ordered the part the next guy who came to install it also was very helpful. I even had one gal at the service call center tell me to just take a hammer to the side of the tank as the salt is probably just stuck. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, from the call center and your SUPERVISORS ... I cant even rate you with 1 star .
