To start off with I have no id...

To start off with I have no idea about cars. I brought my car in because it felt very sluggish and wouldn't shift sometime. The problem was only getting worse. They took a look at it while I waited to see what the problem was and how much it would cost. They pulled the car right back where I left it about 20 minutes later and said I was ready to go. It turned out there was almost no fluid in the transmission and that was all. It could have been much worse and they really could have told me anything was wrong with the car. Im glad I brought it to this Aamco and Im glad there are still honest mechanics around.

When it comes to the maintenance of my car I am very particular (probably because I have had some bad run in's in the past), and every time I have brought my car to this Aamco they have done a really good job with my car. I mainly bring it in for maintenance jobs like oil changes and when its needed an engine tune-up, but they are really good at what they do and can be trusted to do the right work on your car.

I had a hard time finding someone I could trust to work on my transmission because I am new to the area. I found the Aamco in Long Beach online and was thrilled ( I worked) with them back home in another city). They were very nice people and made me feel like I was home again. Everything with my transmission turned out to be fine and I know its because of the quality work that these guys did for me.

I wish there was a way to give...

I wish there was a way to give them less than a 1, because they don't deserve that. I took my car there in October of 2010 because the clutch was acting up and you would have to floor it to get it to shift gears. Don (a total scam artist) told my wife that the car needed a new clutch but he would give her a great deal on one. The clutch cost $888.56. One week later my wife took the car back and said it had the same problem. Don gave her some excuse about it taking time to break in a new clutch. She took it to the AAMCO in Oxnard and they too could find no problem. After several weeks of dealing with it we took it to an AAMCO in Northridge and again was told that there was no problem. I told the guy there (Don) that you had to let the car run for awhile to see the problem. Finally the next day I received a call stating that they had finally experienced the problem and knew what was wrong was would call Don in Long Beach to get him to pay for the repair. He told me it was the Slave and Master cylinder. Don refused to pay and told us to bring the car to him so he could experience the problem also. He told me he has been in business for 35 years and wanted to make sure the car would be fully repaired before he let it go. I had to drive the car 45 miles with a bad clutch to get it to his shop. Don calls me the next day and tells me the car needs a new clutch and since it has been so long it wasn't covered but he would make me a great deal. I got off the phone and called the AAMCO in Northridge and asked if the car needed a new clutch and Ben and he told me "no way". Don wants to charge us another $888.56 for another clutch 10 monthes after we spend $888.56 for a clutch. I have notified AAMCO consumer representative to see if they will do the right thing.
