Monty's Motors Auto Repair

Monty's has been consistently honest in my dealings with them. I've been impressed with their willingness to tell me what repairs I need to make immediately, what I can wait on, and what I should do to prevent future issues. They are very good about calling me with estimates, and letting me know about any additional issues they've found while working on my car. Monty's service manager has always been very good about clarifying exactly what I want done, and then doing it. Their prices are fair, and the labor that they've performed for me has always been very satisfactory. The guys at Monty's have never talked down to me or tried to use scare-tactics to sell me on unnecessary services because I'm a woman. I'm not entirely ignorant about cars, but it's really a good feeling to be able to ask a mechanic and know that the answers I'm getting are trustworthy. These guys are the best, and I recommend them regularly to friends and family.

It is November and we brought our van in because it was not blowing warm air, and was making some odd noises. They changed the thermostat and a few other things in less than 3 hours to the tune of over $300 in labor. I drove it away and it was making new noises, but by then all the repair people where gone for the weekend. They had said it was leaking coolant from the manifold, it was NOT doing that when we brought it in. It leaked bad when I got it home. The next morning we took it to the gas station on the way out of town, it over heated. It didn't blow warm air anymore. So we couldn't go any place. Sunday comes around and my husband wants to try and see if it will even make it to the shop the next day and it WILL NOT START though it has a charge and electrical seems fine. Good Grief. Not sure what this shop did but frightening that they charged me $600 to give me a van back that will not even run. Will update if this is resolved.

I have know Greg Montoya for many years. Being that our Dealership is located over 80 miles away in Tucson, Montys Motors has been an asset to our company. I know that if one of my customer's has a problem I can count on Montys for an Honest inspection / repair / or consultation if its a needed for warranty's repair. Saving the customer time and money instead of driving to Tucson for repairs. We enjoy our working relationship with them, And they are the only ones We will refer any work to that needs to performed in Sierra Vista. They are 1st class operation.

I tried calling Monty's Motors several times, and never once got an answer. Even worse, it just keeps ringing, there isn't even an answering service to take a message. Not a very good way to run your business if you ask me, especially one that has been around so long.

II had heard of Monty Motors Auto Repair for years from many of my friends and business associates. I knew they were one of the oldest businesses in town (longevity must count for something). However, until about six months ago, I had not used them. But, then I did. I was amazed. Their diagnostic work is very good (the found the problem the first time). Their repair work is great+and dependable. Their prices are very fair. They do good customer follow-up to be sure we+re still satisfied with their performance. I HAVE REFERRED SEVERAL LADIES WITH AUTOMOBILE MAINTENANCE ISSUES TO THEM. WITHOUT EXCEPTION, THOSE LADIES HAVE FELT LIKE THEY WERE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE WORK DONE ON THEIR CARS. Now, not only do I go to them for all of my non-factory warranty work, I actively look for people to refer to them. I really do think they+re the best automotive maintenance company I+ve ever used (in over 45 years). I hope they+re here for another 50 years!
