We have been customers of Hastings in other states, and have always had a positive experience. This is not the case for the sierra vista Hastings. The prices are marked up beyond what can be found in other stores, even compared to gohastings.com. When trading in they give you pittance for what it is worth. They don't price match for their own store, because online is "cheaper" even though you can order online and do in store pick up. We had them blatantly lie, and say it is a completely different product because it was ordered online. Customers are definitely not a priority at this store. We tried to give them a second chance today after boycotting them for a year, and were rudely reminded why we stopped going in the first place. Never again.
Apparently if a customer wants to check on trade in prices on movies and decides not to take a tremendous loss it is simply too much for the staff, particularly the manager. If you're not willing to take a huge loss it appears that the common practice is to treat the customers disrespectfully and outright poorly. Not only did the manager have a bad attitude but she allowed a single line to back up leading customers to wait over 20-minutes for simple transactions, meanwhile she sat on another station ignoring customers and doing nothing but be unproductive. The employees are paid on an hourly basis and helping customers should be a priority but this isn't the case for this store. Not only is the staff slow but the so-called managers can't seem to manage daily activities without getting attitudes with the customer- the same customers that keep them employed! Trying to find help is like finding a four leaf clover, every-now-and-again someone gets lucky. After years of being a faithful customer this is the last straw. I now will bring my business elsewhere
