I have had the good fortune of dining Indian in New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Ventura, London and other places. I don't claim to know everything about Indian cuisine but I do know what I like. When the new owners at Indigo took over from the previous establishment, Utsav, the quality took a big leap forward. The new owners came to Shreveport from New York and they undoubtedly know their stuff. The lamb vindaloo is probably my favorite entree and the saag paneer (spinach) is exceptional. The chicken tika masala is also a sure bet. If you miss the generous lunch buffet and go for dinner, be sure to order the vegetable pakora with yogurt sauce on the side as an appetizer. YUM! The fresh naan bread alone is worth the trip.Indigo seems to not be as spicy as other Indian restaurants I have dined at. Maybe they tamed it down for the locals? When ordering for dinner just tell them to make it hot. Once or twice each month I make the drive from Longview and am yet to be disappointed. Also important to note, the always friendly owner greets me, "my Texas friend" upon arrival and asks about friends I have brought in the past. All told, a fun and satisfying dining experience.

The service was lame. It's only serviced by the owner, who seems to not give any eye contact to women. Me and my mom were ignored the whole time while he only talked to people who had men around. On top of that the food was bland and I've been to MANY Indian food joints and I say this was by far the worst one. Really I say the rating my be for atmosphere in which is very nice.
VERY personable! They treat you like royalty and the food is AMAZING! Me and my boyfriend go there a few times a week!
