Had a great time. Beautiful, unique dresses. Not your average dress options. Clean, well lit establishment with a sizeable dressing room and knowledgeable attendants. Didn't buy a dress from here but it was simply because I didn't find "the one". Best option In town for sure.
One star is definitely the most I could give this establishment.. in Short. DIRTY, gross establishment with unqualified staff and out of date dresses. I found two dresses that were decent enough to like and take pictures of to look at later. But the store was disgusting, it smelled terrible, the floors were dirty, the dresses were dirty, they make you wear their slips under the dresses and those were dirty.. some of the dresses I tried on were fraying and damaged. The store attendants were slow and very unenergetic. My personal attendant was very unpersonable, socially awkward, and had no experience in the wedding industry. She even admitted she walked in one day, asked "Hey are you hiring" and that was it. She worked at a fast room restaurant before working here. She laced one dress up so tight I was actually losing feeling in my legs and felt like I was going to pass out. By the time I left there I felt physically ill and nauseas from the smell and the heat and the poor customer service as the cherry on top. The mass majority of dresses were tacky or outdated, there were a small handful that were modern and in style enough to try on. Every dress we asked to try on from the book they handed us when we got there they did not actually have available in the store. While they did have a large color selection of bridesmaids dresses I will absolutely not be getting them or my dress from there. I would be embarrassed to bring my bridesmaids to this establishment or to say I purchased my gown from here. David's bridals is 10x better, and that should say something in its self.
I give this business 1 star, and that is only because I have to. I am bridesmaid, and the bride chose this business for us to try on dresses. The initial visit was welcoming and they were very helpful. After picking our dresses we had an allotted amount of time to pay for our dresses. Prior to the due date of payment, I received 4 phone calls telling me I need to come pay for my dress. I told them 4 times when I would be in to pay for my dress and every time they claimed they would note it on the account so I would not receive any more calls. This never happened. After paying for my dress I got a call claiming I needed to come pay for it again because their card machine went down. I refused to pay until my statement came in showing that the payment was not received. 5 voice mails later I received my statement to find that the payment had not been received so I went back and paid for my dress. I then proceeded to make an appointment for alterations where they told me they only did these on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My friend had called earlier and they told her they only did alterations on Sundays. There is not one employee at this business that knows what is going on. They are not informative nor do they give out correct information. I recommend you use a different bridal shop. You won't regret it.
I went in for an appointment to look at wedding gowns, flower girl dresses, and bridesmaids. When I first walked in I was greeted by a woman at the front desk who asked me not one question. Then, as I start browsing...another lady comes up to me and tells me she was the one that I spoke with on the phone. The lady from behind the desk came up to us and told her that "I was on a budget" and acted as if I was nothing because I told her I habe a bug etc once I walked in the store. Then, the other lady and I start to walk around looking at dresses after I show her the style that I wanted. They did not have one dress in my size...which is a size 6 by the way. The smallest sizes they had was a 10 and she tried to get me to try that on which, falled off of me. I asked her why was there not one dress in my size and her response was that if I see any dress that I want they can order it. How am I going to know if I want a dress if I cannot try it on in my size to see if I do like it or not? With that being said, I will not EVER go back here and I found my dress at David's Bridal, gorgeous, and on sale for $300 (original price was $500). I will say though at Alfred Angelo I found a couple of Bridesmaids dresses that were really pretty but no flowergirl dresses. I will not go back to this store.
Alfred Angelo in Shreveport has wonderful staff who are very eager to find you the perfect dress!I was greeted by Kayce who had a bubbly and genuine personality and was able to find the styles of dresses that I liked and made sure to stay within my price range. Kayce not only was friendly, but made my time there fun! She was hilarious and funny and made all of my family laugh while we were there. Ask for Kayce if you happen to be going there, because she will find the dress that fits you best!
I have heard wonderful things about Happily Ever After, but after visiting yesterday I was very disappointed. I had set up a 430 appointment and got there around 415, and was told they were still with a client and to come back in 20 minutes, which wasn't a big deal. We shopped at some boutiques while we waited and returned back at 430, the time we set our appointment . We were greeted with the person who was to be finding me a dress, and said they were still with a client and to wait. About 10 minutes of waiting one of the staff told the girl who was going to be finding us a dress to go ahead and look for us some dresses. The lady then asked me what other places have you been, and I showed her a dress that we really liked and she asked me many questions about it (where did you find that? How much was it?, etc) which I found very unprofessional. It was like she was scoping out the competition. But anyways, So she walked us around to the dresses and I picked some dresses that I liked, and she was walking back to the dressing room and I walked back there with her. She told me I needed to wait up front until their other clients were done. So my family and I waited up at the front some more, and when it came to about 4:52, 22 minutes after our scheduled appointment, I knew I couldn't wait any longer, and that the dress I loved was waiting for me back at Alfred Angelo. I think they just overbooked themselves or had a walk in, which is probably very seldom for them based on all the wonderful reviews I have read. I just didnt have the best experience.
Awesome helpful staff. Wide selection, clean and safe environment!
A week ago we visited Happily Ever After as our last stop before making our decision on my daughter's wedding gown. We had been to a several stores already. This shop is the first place we visited among all those in the Shreveport-Bossier area that had the style gown we were looking for. They went out of their way to make a phone call to see if there was any way to get the gown quickly since they were not showing one in stock. The dress has been ordered and should be here next month. The staff is very friendly & professional & truly takes an interest you & your particular needs. We highly recommend this store!!
This place is wonderful. The customer service is top notch - Dionne will make you feel so special. They have beautiful gowns at great prices. If I had the dress shopping to do all over again, this is exactly where I would go. I highly recommend it!!
Where do I start? I cannot say enough great things about Happily Ever After Bridal in Shreveport and their staff. They provided me with the most amazing wedding dress shopping experience I could ever ask for!First of all, you have to make an appointment on Saturdays which I appreciated because I was the only bride there at my appointed time with my crew (Mom, MOH, Sister, and soon to be Mother-In-Law) who had a cute comfy couch to sit on while watching me try on dresses. Elizabeth was my consultant and she was amazing! I showed her pictures of what I like and told her what I didn't like. We then both started looking through the dresses and she pulled one and I said yes I love that one and she said this will be the first one you try on. I put that dress on first and immediately knew it was THE ONE! I walked out and everyone knew it too by my smile and how happy I was in it. Elizabeth listened to what I wanted and didn't want and found a dress that she knew I would love and KNEW it should be the first one I try on. I tried on about 5 or 6 more dresses but none of them gave me the feeling like the first one did. Their expertise is on point and they are so sweet and are there for you to find your perfect gown, not to sell you a gown out of your price range so that they can make money. I am a bride on a very strict budget and Elizabeth kept that in mind as she went through the dresses and respected the fact that I did not want to go over budget on my dress.I even went to another salon after Happily Ever After just to be sure and the service and space was not as personal. One more thing I have to share, Happily Ever After closes at 6:00pm on Saturdays and me and my crew were eating when I realized I didn't get a picture of all of us in the salon and I wanted one terribly (we live out of town so I had to get it that day.) So I called Elizabeth at 5:55pm and asked if we could come take a quick picture and she so graciously waited on us until a few minutes after 6:00 so that I could have my picture. WONDERFUL people!!!I would absolutely recommend this bridal salon to any bride wanting that amazing shopping experience that is very personal and so much fun!!
