Great service. Great margaritas. Great food. Almost didn't eat here due to the reviews but decided to anyway. So glad we did.
Horrible service! Waited 10 mins to be seated before anyone even noticed we were there. Then waited another 20 mins after being seated for a waitress to take our drink order! The place was empty! No excuse!
Yummy! Being married to a food broker means he spend the first 20 minutes of any meal we eat out picking the place apart. Drives me crazy however We loved this place. We could not find a negative thing! The salsa was homemade fresh, chips warm and the queso was made from scratch. It's not often that queso is made from scratch. ! Our main course was excellent. The plateing was appealing, the portions were large, the food was warm and they used real cheese not the American-processed Cheese. The sour cream sause was great to! The frozen margarita was well made and a Large serving. For the margarita, two large entrees, and a cup of queso our bill was about 34$. That's a deal for us. The owner even came by and met us as well as asked for feedback on anything we thought needed improvement. Love this place! So glad we didn't let the two negative disgruntled reviews effect our decision to eat here! Yum! We will be back next week!
Great place! Love the Carne Asada!
Best in town!!! Beats La Mesas chili powered down food by a long shot!!! The waitstaff are awesome. I always get a strawberry margarita and it has fresh strawberries in it and it tastes awesome!!! Love this place:)
We are regular customers in this particular taco casa. My son ordered a large nacho and he doesn't take on bite of it and his fork broke and for the safety of our child we took it to the counter to see if they would replace it since we had just then purchased it. The lady at the front said no we cant replace that for you. Risking the chance of plastic entering my child's body my son wasn't wanting to sit there and be the only one not getting to eat. For safety it shud have been replaced and as for that I hope taco casa chokes on every word I have to say about how poorly of a decision by one woman caused us to never go back much less me let it go for not caring enough about a child and caring more about what it wud cost n beans and meat and and overload of cheese with nachos. I hope this review costs u money and if for any reason something happens to my son. Expect a lawsuit. I hope like hell your manager reads this since your phone line at your sherman texas location only rings because u guys dont care about any type of customer service provided. I will make sure everyone knows where not to take their children or family to eat consider ing they dont wear gloves and touch their face and hats during slow points on a shift which is a health code violation also. Ill make sure and contact the Grayson county health department on this matter.
We hadn't tried this place since it reopened so we stopped in today. I ordered a Taco Salad. My husband got enchilada's.I'll start at the beginning. They brought us silverware in a black cloth napkin. My husband and I both had to request more since ours was sticky and dirty. The waitress was very sweet and brought us more, that was also dirty. The food came out and my plate had a lot of water or something on it. I took a picture which I'll share, you can see part the plate. The lettuce was very soggy and the shell was wet from whatever liquid was standing on the plate. The shell was absorbing the liquid. I took a few bites because I was hungry but decided pretty quickly that I wasn't that hungry. My husband actually ate about 1/2 his meal but said he'd give them 1 star, I wouldn't have been that kind as far as the food goes. There was two other people (men) in there eating when were there, I guess that speaks volumes. The waitress didn't inquire as to why I ate nothing and my husband only ate part of his and to be honest I didn't offer to explain it. We paid our bill and left her a tip but we won't go back.
Terrible service! The waitress seated us in her section. So you would think we would get good service. No, I had to get up to get more drinks and I the server in the kitchen. She was waiting for our food to come out and we had only been there about 10 minutes. We were on the road and my sugar was getting low. I guess another waitress told her to get on her table. She came out tried to give good service, but slacked off about 10 minutes later. I told her we needed the bill and she kept us waiting. I have notice the service is terrible in the DFW area too. I will never go back to any El Chico!
