Never been to Marie Callender's before. Went last Sunday on my friend's recommendation and... They had a GREAT selection and had some really yummy pastries for desert. I love the cream puffs and they were plentiful! It costs $14.95 and you get the breakfast, lunch, salad and dessert bar with a drink and a glass of champagne included. Not bad!
Our server was very friendly and was really on top of our drinks. I wish I remembered her name! Everyone working there seemed happy and the overall vibe was positive. I definitely enjoyed this buffet.
Sure, some of the food was a little greasy and or had been sitting under the lights for a tad bit long but overall I have no complaints. Everything I put on my plate was good. Not bad... it's a good restaurant with decent food.
I come here primarily for the baked goods. Although they are known for pies, and you just can't beat thier fresh and delicious strawberry pie, I also love thier muffins. You've got to taste them. First of all they are huge, second they are reasonably priced, and third really delicious. Certainly better than you will ever find at Starbucks and freshly made daily. They are all fantastic but try the lemon. The cake is so succulent and a yummy lemon filling in the middle. Yum!

I don't usually like Marie Callender pies because they're too sweet for me but I've been wanting blueberry pie for about a week and stopped to pick one up tonight. When I cut into this long anticipated treat I was disappointed to find it very runny. When I removed the first slice, all the fruit ran out of the shell and filled the space where the slice was. It was pretty disappointing. Not wanting to waste the 10 bucks I paid, I ended up ""pouring"" my slice into a bowl and ate it with a spoon like soup. Never again!

My boyfriend and I generally avoid chain restaurants, but we decided to check out MC's out of curiousity, and boy did we make the right decision. The restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere with cozy booth seating. We went on a Sunday night and it was not crowded with little children, as is usually the case with ""family"" chain restaurants. The room was very quiet noise-wise, but had pleasant music to listen to in the backgruond.
Our waiter was extremely kind, attentive, and helpful. He refilled my iced tea without my having to ask, took our order right away, and brought out our food in a timley manner.
My only complaint is that the prices are misleading. We got more than we thought we would and ended up taking most of it home. I'd recommend this unassuming, casual restaurant to anyone. Can't wait to go back!
