I am so disappointed by Macy's customer service. They have no remorse for people what so ever. I'm a 24 year old single woman working minimum wage. I worked over a year to save up everything I could to buy my mom a gift. And I feel like my hard work has gone down the drain!! There is no fairness what so ever with Macy's. I spent over $4,100 to buy my mom a diamond tennis bracelet. My first thought is to go to Macy's because I know I'll get my moneys worth. But NOO! They are THIEVES after 3 months the bracelet looks so dull, it totally lost its shine. I went ahead and compared older jewelry that hasn't been polished/ cleaned for over a year. And the older jewelry looked newer than the bracelet I bought. I went to the store and explained to them what happened. But no one wanted to help. I spoke to the manager of the jewelry department, and the store manager and they had no sympathy what so ever. I am even willing to meet them in the middle and just get store credit! Its such a shame that I had to experience this and lose all this money, after all my hard work and thinking I can trust Macy's products. My family and I have been such loyal customers to Macy's all these years. I would advise anyone who intends to buy jewelry at Macy's to NOT buy anything from them. Unless you want to buy POOR QUALITY JEWELRY for high ticket prices.

If your looking for real diamond jewelry to lose sparkle and fade after 3 months then go shop here! Usually diamonds are forever but not at Macy's. They dont even deserve one star!! Customer service is beyond horrible and not helpful at all! They sell horrible quality pieces, I have jewelry that is much older and hasn't worn out like this brand new bracelet I bought! Very Disappointing

Editorial review from Citysearch

Nothing special, decent store with a good enough selection, every time I come here though I dread trying to find assistance. The workers are too few and far between to find anyone to help you find anything. Not to mention some of them honestly just don't care and are talking to their co-workers and not even paying attention. Can't say much else, unfortunately I have to come here at times to shop, their gift cards make a nice gift though to someone who actually enjoys the store.

I went to macys jus to look around and apparetly i was being treated very badly by two managers over a bag cause I wanted to get a paper bag cause I had a plastic one and it was getting ready to break and apparently this stupied blonde manager was vebally abusing me and treating me like a common criminal I reported her to the corparate and got a responce via e-mail and now I am told that I can't come back to macys sherman oaks just over a stupied bag I am never going to shop at this store ever again I think they were being totally disrespectful and totally unprofessional I refuse to be treated like this

do not buy watches or jewelry from Macys

I bought a $1,500 watch from Macys along with the ESP (extended service plan). Macys is contracted with a 3rd rate company in Rancho Cucamanga, CA called M and G Jewelers and they send expensive watches to those losers. My $1,500 watch came back with scratches and dust inside the watch. Macys managers did not return my calls. Macy's executives took 35 days to respond to my written complaint. Everyone I spoke with couldn't care less, was rude and unprofessional. I plan on suing Macys in small claims court. Do yourself a favor. Shop elsewhere where they appreciate your business. Macy's doesn't even deserve the 1 star I gave them.

Ummm, well

Macy's is good for certain things. Keeping my expectations at bay helps me be pleased with my journey. I'm not particularly impressed with the maternity line.
