It was a great experience
Preparing to go on vacation I discovered I would not have enough blood pressure pills for the entire time we would be gone. Being a customer of some 22 years with the Walmart Pharmacy in Shawnee Ok, I assumed I could get some extra, or something could be done about the potential shortage. I called the store and was told I needed to speak first to my insurance company who paid the Medicare supplement for the prescriptions. I did so, and received an okay for a 30 day supply. I called Walmart again, and was told I could thus pick up the prescription on the afternoon for the 4th. I called Walmart Pharmacy again on the morning of the 4th, and after some initital confusion, was told that everything was a go, and they "were filling the prescription now" At 3:30 or so in the afternoon of the 4th, I went to the pharmacy and was told they did not have the prescription but could get a partial filling by 4PM on the 5th. As we had told them previously, I will not be here on the 5th. Now, I go off on vacation, knowing I will not have enough blood pressure medication for the time I will be gone.
David and his wonderful staff are helping me out at a very difficult time. Thank you all so much! You are, literally, life-savers!
I was forced to switch all my prescriptions to them just so they would fill one prescription. Then they faxed the wrong doctor on the wrong medication and then lied to me about it. The one that did the covering up to me was the owner and acting pharmacist for the day. Please check k and recheck anything you get from them
