Established in 1965, Penn State Shenango is a student-centered campus located on 13 acres set in downtown Sharon, Pennsylvania. It is the only urban campus among the Penn State Commonwealth campuses. Shenango campus enrolls approximately 500 students and offers both associate and baccalaureate degree programs, plus the first two years of more than 160 Penn State degrees. The intimate environment for learning and teaching is well suited to a student body equally divided between traditional and nontraditional students. The faculty and staff are always willing to go the extra mile to help. Shenango campus awards more than $600,000 in scholarships annually. Students who enroll at Penn State Shenango with a 3.0 grade-point average are guaranteed a $3,000 scholarship. Among its amenities, the Shenango campus provides complete Internet service for all students including e-mail, Wi-Fi, Web space, e-Portfolio space, computer labs, and campus modems to access the Web from home.
