All their food is fresh and good
Went there the other night for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it, so thought we would try breakfast and was very disappointed. Our food was cold, the bacon was like a jerky, pork was dried out, grits and gravy were ice cold. The only thing hot was the coffee and eggs. Would not recommend for breakfast.
Happen across this place & it was delicious! Our family of 4 enjoyed everything we order and the milkshake were a blast from the past. A great treat & we were glad we went!
I had fried bolongna. Coffee was good. Just lucky to be in Wears Valley. Bathroom says His'n and Her'n....you know it's going to be fun.
Had a filling breakfast. Service was slow. got right in at 10AM. took home food. A must do! Good for lunch, too!
This is a great place to eat when visiting the Smokie Mountains. We love the atmosphere and the food. There can be a pretty good wait but it's worth it.
One of the people in our party ordered a steak. It tasted good but half of it was fat & gristle. She could barely cut it. Spoke to the manager and she would only take $3.00 off the bill!
We always eat here whenever we are in the area. Their breakfast is delicious. Prices are decent and the service is always the best.
Warning*** This is a long-winded review, but it's so absurd, it needed thorough explaining*** I'd like to start by stating that my family & I are not "ranters", all work in customer service/have worked in the restaurant industry. We are all aware of the serving struggle & are strict 20%+ tippers regardless of service quality. However, last night my fiance & I met with his sister & her husband around 9 PM to meet up for a few drinks & some snacks. When we asked for the drink specials our server told us $3 shorts and $5 talls so we all ordered accordingly. Throughout the night, our less than enthused server dogged our table leaving our drinks empty for 15+ minutes at a time. But hey, Saturday night, their busy, no biggie. But then came the check. Our check was correct, but my sister-in-laws was $23 more than anticipated. Their ticket showed their short beers priced at $5/per beer for michelob ultra! Thinking this was a simple error we told our serving in which case he apologized & said the manager would fix it. He then came back, dropped off the new ticket, & quickly left. Their appetizer was removed but that only reduced the ticket by $12. Again, not accurate. Wanting to just get the corrected ticket, we flagged the "manager" Tara who quickly said "I already took off your appetizer, mc ultra is not on the special, I don't set the prices" and attempted to walk away! I halted her & re-explained we had been told by our server that they were $3 & we wouldn't have ordered them if they weren't so we didn't think it was right to make us pay it. She then said "that's the price, I can't take anymore off, it's illegal." . . . I was stunned. We were being treated like we were trying to "get one over" on the wait staff. We just didn't want to pay $50+ for 10 pints of mc ultra after being told they were cheaper by the WAITER! This got me heated. I didn't curse, I didn't raise my voice, I just explained that we ordered based on the price we were told & we weren't paying for their mistake. She gave me the meanest look, said "Fine then, I'll just break the law" and stomped off!! I have never, ever, been treated so poorly in a customer setting in my life. She didn't apologize once, offer maybe a gift card for the difference, of discount on our next meal. We're locals & that would have been perfectly acceptable! We were not drunk or disorderly, and were treated like trash. I've never been so disrespected by a "manager" in my life. I can say with certainty, we will never be back to this "restaurant".
First time visit to a Flapjacks. We had a minimal wait time for a busy Saturday Morning. Food was pretty good for the most part. The Spanish Omlet tasted like they sprinkled some Taco seasoning on it and that was it. Be prepared to be hit with a ton of souvenirs as you enter the restaurant and again when you leave. 99% of the stuff you can find anywhere else for cheaper.
