Last week, I went Ultra. I roamed for 25 minutes and never saw a clerk. Yesterday, I went back. I am 62, my skin has changed, and I wanted something appropriate for my age. One clerk was on the floor, and she was putting make-up on another person. I roamed for 20 minutes until she was free. I asked her for help. She asked me if I had an appointment. When I told her, "No." She walked off. I asked her if I needed an appointment to get help, and she disgustingly walked back over to me and showed me a box of multicolored eye shadows. I am not 15 years old playing with eyeshadow! She made it very obvious I was bothering her, and she had no more suggestions. I was the only customer in the store yet there were 2 or 3 girls standing at the checkout doing nothing. Half of the displays are empty. I went to Belk and in less than 15 minutes was paying for not only new eyeshadow but also new lipstick, primer, and other products. That was $118 that Ultra obviously didn't need.
I was so excited to see an Ulta store in Sevierville ! When I visited the new store I was blown away by just how many products are available and found the staff to be very helpful ! I was so happy to find everything I wanted to purchase at one place. Looking forward to my next trip back to Ulta.
The staff of the store was absolutely clueless when I asked about their MAC foundations. This store definitely needs to train their employees more in basic makeup know how. For example, being familiar with the products in store and knowing which are for oily skin and which are for dry. A lot of the makeup seemed to be at a discount but smash box was either full price or even more expensive than sephora!
