Aaron the server decided to come to my table to tell me that and I quote "since we are getting busy and people are coming in, turn down your music or turn it off" All the while the music on the patio is blaring something talking about demons and I don't stand for that. I asked for the manager and Aaron got an attitude and told me "for what because I told you to turn the music off" I said yes you are absolutely right. Aaron came back outside and told me that the manager was busy and he'd be outside to speak with me in a little while. I waited for over 15 minutes for the manager "Dustin" to come outside. In the meantime I spoke with the only other customer outside on the patio with us, they said they had no issue with my music and couldn't even hear it He came outside seemingly cocky and said what can I do for you. I explained the situation as described. I also told him that the only person outside with us said they didn't have any issue with my music nor could they hear it. I explained that the music playing from the restaurant was too loud and we didn't want to hear it since there was objective material not fit for the whole family playing. Dustin told me that he wasn't changing or turning the music off or down and that this was private property and that's the music they play and if I had a problem I could leave. At the time I had food from across the boardwalk because Boardwalk Billy's point of sale system was unable to read my payment method. Since I couldn't order food from here I went there. Dustin proceeded to tell me that since I wanted to complain that I needed to get rid of my food from the table that it was a healthcode violation, I told him that was fine since I was done anyway. He stood there and asked me again to throw it away as if he was going to wait there the whole time until I performed the task for him as if I was his slave. There were still paying customers in our party. All the while no other customers were sitting outside

Fresh fish market that doesn't smell fishy. Fish cleaned however you want. They cook it there as well if you want.
Excellent food and great service! I was in Maui and Cabo in the last year and had my the best ever Tacos and have to say today I was amazed...Cabo Fish Tacos beat out Maui and Cabo. These were the absolute best and it was a great atmosphere. Being new to Charlotte...I will be back!

I think the food here are very decent and the price is good. My waitress was a little inattentive with out drinks, otherwise, the experience at this restaurant was quite pleasant. We recommend this place (-:

First of all, I don’t like most seafood restaurants because their fried seafood tastes so greasy. But my kids really do. So we tried Pier 51. WE LOVE THIS PLACE. The food was better than any seafood restaurant we have ever been to and we have eaten at all the local seafood places as well as the chains. I had the fried combo platter and it was an overly generous portion. The fish was light and flaky and the shrimp was crunchy and delicious. It was simply perfect. I asked my husband, who had worked in a Fish camp in high school why Pier 51’s seafood was so much better. He says that the key to the best seafood is to change the oil frequently so that must be what Pier 51 is doing. The kid’s portions were large also and my kids are big eaters. Also, the staff is friendly and attentive. It has a great family atmosphere. Last, the restaurant is spotless…including the restrooms. Give this place a try!

MY FIRST VISIT WAS AWESOME. THE STAFF IS SO FRIENDLY. RIGHT ON TOP OF ALL YOUR NEEDS. THE PATRONS WERE SO FRIENDLY AS WELL. KYLE WAS THE BOMB ON THE KAROKE. AND LOVE THE HEATED SMOKING AREA... GOING BACK MY NEW HOT SPOT LOVED IT THE FOOD IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GREAT. THANKS STEAMERS.. FOUND MY SPOT
CONSUMER BEWARE!!! This restaurant is a GHETTO HOT MESS! The short fat 2 foot troll that works the counter should not be working the front desk because her attitude is aweful. The owner (RALPH S.) is ineffective as a manager and never there when problems arise. Maybe if he quit his GAMBLING...he'd be able to afford some HOT SAUCE!!! My order was wrong and Ralph refused to hear my complaint about the wrong order; not to mention the complaint about troll's rude and nasty attitude. He's a joke and all he cares about at the end of the day is what monies was taken in. Behind the counter is NASTY with filthy towels, dirty/funky clothes, and poorly stocked items. The dining area is dusty and unclean. The floors are NEVER swept and the cooks come in off the street and DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS. I informed Ralph that I would not be returning because of these issues and his response was....*#@$ IT....THEN DON'T COME BACK. How professional??
