brought in a wicker purse that needed a brass rivet replaced. I paid for it and when I returned at 5:00 to pick it up, the owner was just locking up the door. Since I was right in front of her, I asked," Please, may I pick up my purse?"She said nothing , unlocked the door, took my tag, then asked which purse it was. I showed her which one, & she said," You paid for it?" I said yes, she took it down & handed it to me, then ordered me to "Take that tag off" ( referring to the stores ID that was safety pinned on) She didn't say please, thank you, kiss my foot. I realize it was closing time ( 5:00) when I arrived, ( I failed to factor in 'rush hour' traffic in downtown Seneca) , I would think in any instance that a store owner would give me the courtesy of just a few moments of her time to complete the transaction.I reckon customer service isn't a priority, since they seem to be the 'only show in town'. I will go to Toccoa or elsewhere for any shoe/ leather repair needs.
The woman at the counter would not listen to me try to explain what was wrong, kept saying that she had so many years of experience, and when I said "you are not hearing me", she threw down the shoes in her hand on the counter and invited me to leave. I was NOT rude to her and did noting to deserve (especially in a customer service situation) to be treated this way. I hope that what ever was bothering her gets resolved. Sorry for her, but annoyed that now I must go out of my way (literally) to have my shoes fixed.
seneca shoe repairYou should definitely get your shoes repaired here at Seneca Shoe Repair. Especially if you like your shoes ruined. Oh, and if you tell the owner, Doug, that he did shoddy work and ruined your shoes, you’ll really appreciate his professional demeanor. I thought the way he responded to my mom was especially amazing - after all, he got three inches from her face and screamed at her and kicked her out the store. Oh and for good measure, he followed her out on the sidewalk and continued to yell at her and even raised his hand once. She was pretty sure he was going to hit her right there outside of the store.Seneca Shoe Repair: Where you get your shoes ruined, yelled at by the arrogant owner and even fear getting hit in the face!
Done a great job sewing my patches on my leather vest.
