Green Gate

For years I have been buying at Green Gate plant nursery in Sequin Tx; today I was disappointed when I realized what was going on with the pricing.
In the beginning I thought it was an innocent error... but realized it was not innocent. When you pick up the plant from the shelf the sign says one price, the plant has the same price; but when you check out they change the pricing to almost double.
When I confronted the older Cashier probably the owner; I read her as being caught red handed; she got defensive and upset that I asked her to remove it from my bill. Then as she kept ringing up my other plants it happen again and again. I finally told her to remove them. She was irate. I give this nursery from a 1 to 10 score; ten being the highest a 0. Stealing is stealing. As I left it happen to the person behind me!!

If you love plants, go to Green Gate! The plants are beyond healthy -- everything from their bedding plants to special ferns and begonias. They have so much more variety than the usual garden centers plus they have people that know how to grow them and will help you! Most of their plants are available in different sizes, so if you don't want to risk killing a $20 plant, you can buy it in the $2.50 size. We go on a weekday, and first head to the greenhouse where they keep begonias, ferns and exotic looking plants. It's fun just to look, but if you see something you can't live without, you can afford to buy it! You can get real bargains on beautiful healthy plants! The quality of their plants is really noticeable after you plant them. They just grow better. The only thing I don't like about Green Gate is it is too far away from where I live. It is worth the trip -- great prices for gorgeous, healthy plants. The only regrets we have ever had are for the plants we didn't buy.

I come from San Antonio every year to buy my poinsettias from Greengate and have for 6 years now. best lookin and brilliant colors- well wort the trip.
