Salon Virtu

My first impression was good as I chatted with the receptionist and she asked me specific questions about my hair type, length and the color & cut I wanted. She recommended Carrie to me and I said why not. When I went for my appointment, it was obviously a different receptionist as she was not as courteous and professional as the one I spoke to on the phone. She was chatting away with a member of staff and ignored me at first then asked if I had an appointment but didn't seem to care, she was quite nonchalant. I sat down with Carrie and showed her exactly what I wanted for the cut and color based on photos I had with me. 2 hours later I discovered she gave me a dip dye instead of the balayage ombre I asked for plus it was the wrong color! Besides, it seemed she had completely ignored the fact I have curly hair and gave me a cut more suitable for straight hair.

I went back a few weeks later for a touch up and mentioned how unhappy I'd been with her job the first time around. Oh my! I've never been talked down to the way she did! She completely dismissed my feelings and said she did exactly what I wanted, she made me feel very inadequate. I wonder how she can call herself a color specialist and reiki master! I've heard other people also complain about her attitude. A colleague of mine and ex client of hers said to me she was not a nice person. I wouldn't recommend Carrie, she doesn't listen, she is condescending and doesn't accept criticism. I let the owners know about my experience but I don't think they really care. I'm surprised they would dismiss feedback from a Sedona local! That alone has put me off booking any stylist from Salon Virtu, no matter how awesome they sound.
