I love Sky! Such a beautiful place, wonderfully friendly and helpful people. When the skies are gray, I make a point to head to Sky Nursery if only for a latte and to wander through the greenhouse, pondering plants, fountains, and all types of garden accessories. It's a don't miss...love, love, love!

Beware their grass seed!

I prepped my lawn for reseeding including using Sky's bagged organic fertilizer and lime. I ended up with a massive Chickweed infestation. The Chickweed came up about the same time as the new grass seedlings. I never had Chickweed in my lawn before. The chickweed came up in the highest concentration where I put down the most grass seed. I don't use herbicides for health and environmental concerns.

I told Sky this story and they offered to give me some herbicide. When I told them I don't use herbicides, and someone was going to have to pull these weeds, they changed their story and said it couldn't possibly be their grass seed. I told them it would likely take 2 people 2 days to pull all of these and they should either send someone out to do this or reimburse me for having someone do this. They said they wouldn't do that.

I will be taking all my business elsewhere, but I would warn you to avoid their grass seed unless you are quite fond of Chickweed.

No returns

I have been a loyal customer at Sky nursery for years . Recently I bought an expensive pair of Felco pruners at Sky Nursery for $70.00 . I retuned them because the blades stuck together after using them twice . Sky refused to give me an exchange or return stating they could find no defect with them . This is not good customer service and one should expect more at a store Like Sky Nursery which claims to be an upscale plant store with high end items and service .

SKY high prices since remodel

Sky Nursery has hit the ceiling on prices. Still great plants but I look around before buying. Tools and accessories seem way over-priced. They are sooo big now, it's difficult to find what you need without trying to find an employee to help you . I miss the "feel" of the old Sky. Bigger does not always mean better.
