I'm visiting from out of town and Seattle Fabrics was the only shop on my to do list. I've often seen their products online. But, wanted to shop in person. I was not disappointed. The two clerks were extremely charming and helpful. The young man helped me pick out great fabric for a raincoat showing me three different price point options. I also wanted seam tape to seal my seams and he suggested a newer, easier to use product, and I found a great woven supplex to make swim trunks for my husband. These fabrics are super hard to come by on the East Coast and I was thrilled to pick and choose in person. The prices are also a little less in store than on the website which was an added bonus. But, lots of outdoor weather fabric, athletic knits, waterproof and breathable woven fabrics. If you're from out of town, bring a bag. They don't give out shopping bags by local ordnance. Just an FYI.
Awesome place. I came here to buy fabric to make a cover for our outdoor off-set smoker. The fellas here were knowledgeable. Had a fair selection of outdoor sewing patterns to make your own tent, outdoor gear/clothing, etc. Looked like a fun place to spend some time. You can buy some neat fabric here like gortex, etc.
If service was a problem in the past that certainly was not apparent today. One of our missions in our trip out from Michigan was to see this store and to see if it had the types of fabrics that would take our business to the next level.
Marcus was outstanding, very knowledgeable and willing to share. The rest of the gang was engaging and very helpful. (Thanks to the young woman that helped us cut our webbing - enjoy Michigan when you come out)
We look forward to doing business in the future.
Terrible Customer Service for online order and out of state delivery. They don't care if you get product, so you have to pay extra to actual receive, they then tell you to deal with USPS. See YELP for many bad reviews. The good reviews contained here sound like your VP of Marketing wrote them S.F!
Later, SF worked with me to get my product to me.
Horrible customer service. Really put me in a pinch with a urgent, time sensitive project when then failed to follow up on a billing mistake. They claimed to send an email, but I was never contacted. They made ZERO attempt to make amends for this situation. I wouldn't work with this company unless forced too.
