Saleh's Delicatessen

My family frequents Seleh's as it's our ""around the corner"" store. I guess a convenience store is easy to take for granted, but I think they deserve special mention as they work hard to keep a great wine selection and are eager to answer questions about wines. This is good as I am a ""newbie"" to drinking wine. A good doctor friend of mine (not my doctor) recommended to me a 10oz. glass of wine every day as heart disease runs strong in my family. Specifically wines from the south western region of france. In this area of france people, on average, live longer than in any other region of the world and also have one of the lowest rates of heart disease.
I'm not exactly a wealthy man and I knew my new wine initiative would add expence to an already near max budget. I told my plight to Steve and he was very interested in helping, and remains interested in helping me find wines I enjoy, and can afford... that are specifically from that region. Good Job Steve!
Saleh's has a great wine selection for such a small store and Steve and the staff are always wonderful!!!

Saleh's Delicatessen was my favorite joint to visit when I lived a few blocks away. The Philly Steak sandwich is the best I've found in the city--ask for it extra spicy!
