Seatle Area Pizzeria and Delivery

General Info
Voted Western Washington's "Best Pizza" 2007-2008 and 1997-2004 by Evening Magazine KING-TV A Taste of the Pagliacci Story: My brother, my cousin and I (all Italians) opened Pagliacci Pizza on the "Ave"; in the University District in 1979. It didn't have a cash register or a safe. It would be more than a year before we would get around to putting up a sign. It was not a very business-like business. We just wanted a place where we could get good pizza. It was as simple as that. The place did make good pizza, just as we knew it would. It became popular, just as we had hoped. It even made a profit and that was nice. If that is all that had happened, it wouldn't be much of a story. What surprised us was how much people cared. Pagliacci became this odd place where the customers and the employees lobbied incessantly on behalf of what they said was the "soul" or the "personality" of the place. We had never experienced anything like it. I became curious and started spending my lunch hours there; then, my evenings; then weekends. I got caught up in whatever it was that was affecting the customers and the crew. I learned I loved the place. I loved working with the employees and serving the customers. I too got in touch with the soul and personality of the place. That's when I realized that I really wanted to quit my job and work at Pagliacci.

Pesto Primo is the best!

I was walking to my bus stop yesterday afternoon after work, I was tired and it was rainy ( so UNLIKE seattle I know) but I decided to stop and get a pizza to take home to the family, but when I went in I noticed that they sold pizza by the slice also, and they actually had a sit down area. SO I ordered a piece of Pesto Primo pizza ( my favorite) sat down grabbed a magazine and oh man was that pizza good, I actually saw my bus pull up and drive away and didn't care. I got another piece to go and caught the next bus but for a normall monday this made my night.!

too busy to wait on customers

I love their pizza but will think twice before we go back. Just left my mothers and wanted not to cook so we stopped by on the way home at the store on 9th and 85th. Stood in the store and made eye contact with 6 different persons working and chatting for 8 minutes before we walked out and went to Subway. Everyone was too occupied to even ask if they could help us. My husband and I were in nice professional work clothes and in our fifties. We won't be back. Snoose Junction just got another new customer.

Bad food

Well, it is a pizza joint and so I expected decent pizza. The food was bad to say the least. The service is painfully slow and the quality of the food is tooo mediocre for the time they take to make it. We went here for lunch and were very disappointed.

Amazing!

This is by far the best pizza I have ever had, in Seattle or elsewhere. I suppose if you order frequently it is kind of expensive, but their customer service is awesome...you call a call center and they place their order for you. They can order your ""regular"" and they keep you card on file. The Parma Primo is where my heart lies, but I have never had anything I didn't like.

Great place for pizza!

Found this place by asking a few locals and glad that I did.
Pizza was very good and cooked to order as I like it well done, most places will just stop cooking it as they see fit.
But the folks here had me look at it before boxing it up and it was PEFRECT!
I would definitely go back again as the price, service and quality of food was all in line to greatness.
Great job folks!!

The best

I couldn't imagine ordering from anywhere else. I recently left town to go to vegas and I couldn't find anything that compared.(even at the expensive strip spots)

Best Pizza in Washington!

Whether I order for delivery or visit one of the Pizzeria's I always receive the same great customer service! Which I always weigh so much of my reviews based on the service. So yeah the service is great but the pizza is even better! The best part is the consistency of the quality. There is a reason it has been voted Seattle's ""Best Pizza"" for countless years. Hungary? Live in Seattle? Like Pizza? Call or Visit your local Pagliacci!

Great pizza

It seems to obvious to call Pags the best pizza in Seattle, but it could be true. They certainly have the best crust. There is also a great selection of toppings. There is also a nice atmospere and it's clean.

Best Pizza in Seattle

2 slices of Pepperoni pizza at Pagliacci Pizza is $5.40 some odd sense, and that includes tax. One slice at Pagliacci Pizza costs...less than $2 1/2 bucks. Great deal. I love Pagliacci's crust. Always a great choice. Pagliacci Pizza delivery ROCKS! We love Pagliacci Pizza. And they just named the best all time pizza in Seattle by The Seattle Weekly i.e. a trophy and lifetime achievement award for Seattle's Favorite Pizza (not for the year...forever).

big on hype, but always disappointing

""Gourmet"" pizza can be fantastic: exotic ingredients layered in inspired combinations, just the right olive oil, a nice biting marinara or bolognese sauce (or a garlic cream sauce with clams), etc. Unfortunately, for all its lauds as a premier pizza vendor in Seattle, every pie I've had from Pagliacci's has had remarkably little flavor. Maybe it's because they seem to have a law that toppings should never touch one another, or that pizza sauce should resemble tomato soup base, or that a thin crust pizza should be alternately hard as a Rye-Krisp or have the tensile strength of a paper towel (on the same pizza, mind you). If you're on Broadway, go two blocks north and have something really good at Bella Pizza (next to FedEx-Kinko's behind the fountain); on Queen Anne or the University district, try Mad Pizza. Anywhere else in the city, you can probably find good pizza within half a mile of Pagliacci's -- and you'll probably be happier.

Great Customer Service - Free Pizza

I would highly recommend this company. I order delivery regularly and they are always on time. I have never had to wait more than 45 minutes. The pizza tastes fabulous, and it's always consistent in taste and quality. Customer service on the phone is positive and helpful. Pagliacci is a bit pricy, but well worth it. I even got a free pizza for being a ""frequent flyer.""

Excellent. Among the very best pizza I've had anywhere. The restaurant could be a little cleaner.

Dependably good

Pags has a bad rap and I have never been able to figure out why--for classic NY-style pizza, I think it might be the best in town. The seasonal primo pizzas, like one right now covered in mushrooms or one with figs and proscuitto, are really inventive and delicious. And the usual favorites--pesto primo, pepperoni, etc--are just as good. I think it's the best option for pizza delivery and a darn good product. It might not change your LIFE, but you definitely won't be disappointed.

Sweetest pizza place EVER.

I just called Pagliacci on Broadway for a pizza, and I liked the sound of their seasonal special, but then I kind of balked at the price over the phone and decided to get something cheaper. The phone clerk was really sweet and patient about my waffling between options, and when the delivery gal showed up, she informed me that the pizza was free as a thank you for being a great local customer (!). When I got it upstairs and opened it up, it was the original special we'd discussed, too. I can't get over how thoughtful and kind and unexpectedly generous that was. I just feel bad that I didn't have any cash to tip the gal with, since I had placed my order using a card. They deserve more than just a Citysearch review, but this is the best I can do for now. I was so touched (and it was delicious). And by the way, in the past, the couple times we've had problems with a pizza (like once we got one with arugula and ALL the greens were brown and slimy), they sent us a coupon for a free pizza to make up for it. I love knowing you'll get treated well and fairly like that. And I seriously still can't get over the freebie tonight. I can't rave enough here -- I'm so touched!
