I'd give a zero stars if I could. I am an architect so I deal with contractor's on a regular basis and Nihao is one of the laziest and most unresponsive I've dealt with. After getting them out to my house to look at a partial roof replacement the gave me a estimate describing work I did not ask for. I contacted them to correct the estimate and send over a new one. I had to make this call three separate times and each time they promised the estimate the next day. I have yet to receive that corrected estimate. Needless to say I went to look for a more professional contractor.

First rate workmanship and honest bid on what they will or will not include in the job, never a hidden clause or later surprises.

When asked to compare the material used, they are good to offer their professional opinion.

As a remodeling general contractor, we hire roofers and other trade specialists often - not just once like most home owners. We have used Nihao for years, and used Lau's (the owner) previous company before that.



We have never had a Nihao roof leak. Their price is always competitive. Their work looks good, which makes US look good. They show up when they say they will. If they find rot or other problems, they bring it to our attention immediately, and they provide a very reasonable and accurate cost estimate to address the issue.



We have had almost no problems. The closest we had was one job site that had a few nails left behind. When we called Lau about it, he came out within an hour and picked things up, and he made sure that it never happened again.



We occasionally shop the competition, but always come back to Lau and Jorge with Nihao construction.

Usually people are reluctant to take time providing positive reviews when they receive good services. I have to admit I am one of them. The entire journey dealing with Nihao Construction to replace our roof was way above and beyond excellence. And I have to say something.

We recently purchased a 1977 house and needed some remodeling and replacing 2600+ sq ft roof was one of them. Several friends had experiences with Nihao, hence, we gave Nihao a try.

Instead of simply gave us a quote to out beat competitors, Lau provided a very detailed of Scope of Work listing all the required materials and labor costs. And to select the right roof for the house, Lau took time explaining to us what types of roof would be most suitable for the house due to the shady area the house is in. My wife and I both found him very passionate his work and his work ethic.

We worked closely with Lau to ensure no schedule conflicts between his crew and other remodeling crews. Even though we had to change the schedule due to rain/shower, Lau’s crew got the roof replaced in 1½ day (½ prep and 1 day replace) and the after job clean-up was also done appropriately. And guess what? Lau came to the house a few days later to ensure we are happy with the roof.

In short, Nihao Construction conducted an excellent job for us. Not only our budget was met (especially when we had other remodeling projects went on and money was very much the constraint), but also the roof was replaced with quality and in timely manner. You can’t go wrong with NIhao.

I am the Real Estate agent who sold this home and know the history of the events that took place and I feel it is necessary to disput the negative comments reported. It is an unfair comment.

First: Nihao Construction did not install the roof that was on the house when the new buyer took posession.

Second: The new buyer wanted more security regarding the roof and the seller hired Nihao Construction to offer a 5yr roof certificate to the new buyer.

Third: Nihao Construction has always tried to help the new owner in his requests.

Niaho Construction will continue to respond to the new buyer throughout the 5 year term.

I have done business with Nihao Construction for over 10 years and recommend them many times a year for my clients who need new roofing. Nihao has always performed with stellar performance and service.
