I was looking for some help with how I scraped my VW in the South Lake Union area and my coworker suggested I go specifically here. The manager, Justin, was helpful and communicative and his team did a really good job. He came up with a good deal for me, too. Between the polite service, good work, and quick turnaround, I am really pleased with how it turned out. It looks really nice. I bought it used and it was scratched up other than in the spots where I had an accident, and it was all redone, so it looks even nicer than when I got it. Good work.
About a month ago my friend backed my car into a pole. After searching around 5 other body shops Maaco gave us the cheapest estimate. They were a full 50% below the costs of other body shops. The managers were more than helpful and they got the work done in less than 48 hours. Great service, friendly people, and the car looks amazing. Don't be fooled by their high volume, these people know how to take care of their customers.

I have an old Nissan truck that just won't quit, but the paint gave up long ago. It's not worth a lot but I wanted to freshen it up without spending a lot of money. I took it to this Maaco because they had good reviews. I met with Justin, he was very friendly and low-key. He offered me a good deal, no pressure, and I had my truck painted. The price was not much so I wasn't expecting much, but when I went to pick it up, it looked great! I feel like I got a really good deal, no complaints whatsoever, and they definitely exceeded my expectations.

I called this location after a recommendation from a coworker. Justin was exceptional - he took the time to walk me through the process, and really accomodated my needs working directly with my insurance company - even taking the time to call my agent. The stand up guys at this shop even dropped me off at work when I brought in my car, and stayed open late on Saturday when I was coming in to pick it up.

I cannot begin to describe the fear i experienced when i got in a fender bender with my grandmother's car last weekend. It was the first accident i had experienced and i needed to replace the hood, front fender and head lights on one side. I knew this would throw me into the world of salesmen v. myself, a 24 year old female, a laymen when it comes to collision repair... a lot of large parts to replace, a paint job, and a bit of man hours required. I went to five places between 7:30 am and 10:00 am last Monday. The last of which was Maaco. Justin said he could do the work between $1000 - $1500... other places had quoted between $1500 - $2900, some of which didn't call me back until late Monday afternoon (Queen Anne Auto Body was the BIGGEST joke). Justin quoted his price and then proceeded to acquire the parts over the phone, while i waited in the lobby. In less than 15 minutes he printed out a work order for $1150 and told me to come back Thursday for my car. The car was immaculate when i picked it up, they patched several bits of minor damage that had been made over the years, to the point that i hoped my grandmother wouldn't notice! I highly, highly recommend Maaco. They were efficient and straightforward with me, and i appreciate that. And they went the extra mile:)

I just picked up my 2002 Saab and the work MAACO did was excellent. They repaired a rear passenger door and side well plus a front side well in the exact time quoted and for a price that was significantly less that I had been quoted elsewhere. Main thing: the workmanship match my existing paint to a tee! Well done MAACO.

Macco on South Lake Union (this particular location) was recommended to me by my mechanic who I have been with for 10 years+ to care for my car. They were great! Estimated a price that was reasonable and that I can afford. I was happy with the work, and it is lifetime warranty. The manager was friendly, and the service was fast. No hassle. I already mentioned how great this place is to my friends.

I had a similar experience to the person who reviewed before me. Rude and argumentative manager and counter salesperson. Poor workmanship. Did not sand my car when I paid them for it. Large dust particles stuck in paint. Streak left on side of my car. Do your homework. Go somewhere that someone recommends to you highly. Use that persons name when you go. Speak to the owner.

I brought my classic vehicle in for a complete body work and painting job, and was treated in a very friendly manner as the supervisor went over the entire vehicle and carefully marked each dent and ding, and gave me the total price, which seemed reasonable. He insisted on my paying extra to have the front end completely stripped and painted, which I was persuaded to be worth it.
Several days later, I returned to pick up the vehicle. I immediately noticed that a very visible dent on the backside was not repaired. Additionally, the front end had simply been painted over, and the extra work for which I had paid was not done at all. I approached the supervisor, and before I had a chance to even open my mouth, Maaco's owner came down the hall and said, ""I'm completely happy with that paint job. If you don't like it, that's your problem,"" and stormed into his office and shut the door. I was obviously shocked, and said to the supervisor that while I was happy with the majority of the work, there were a couple of major oversights. He suddenly took on a smug, cold demeanor and said, ""I was on vacation, so couldn't supervise it."" I assumed that he would then right the wrong and do the work for which I had paid, but flatly refused. I said, ""But that's bad business. I paid for this!"" He replied with, ""Then go ahead and s** us! We've never lost a case in court! What do you know about business? Do you have an masters in business from MIT?"" (MIT, by the way, doesn't have an MBA).
Being that I was a poor student at the time, and leaving the country for a study-abroad program for some months, I never got around to taking them to court. But I still cringe when I drive by this place, and feel that I need to warn other potential victims of the of this institution's lack of integrity. Pay a bit more and go somewhere where they do good work and treat you with the respect you deserve.
