Provided by Citysearch -Our refrigerator was not keeping a cold enough temp and the food in the freezer was starting to defrost. This happened during the day on Saturday. By 7:00 p.m., the refrigerator was just not working properly. We called several appliance service centers, none who were open or could come out on a Saturday night. The average wait time was 3-4 days for a repair. We called Harris Appliance around 7:45. The man we spoke to said he would be to our place between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. He arrived around 8:30, diagnosed the problem - relay switch, and made the repair. Yes, the total cost was $328, however, our neighbor had the same repair done about two weeks ago, with a different repair service and the cost was the same. Face it, any major appliance repair is going to be costly. I would definitely recommend Harris Appliance to friends and would call them again if need be.

Provided by Citysearch -Total time of repair: 45 minutes.
Total cost of replacement part: $7.00
Total cost of job: $350.00
Replacement part was not OEM.
Original wiring harnesses were cut off to install non-OEM product.
The part used was: SUPCO 3 n' 1 START CAPACITOR/RELAY COMBO which can be purchased for as low as $7.00, was not my money spent, was my landlord's money... lucky for me! If you are paying, do your research first and ask the right questions. Told me $65 for assessment and tried to charge $85 at the jobsite. Refrigerator compressor starters go out often, be careful and do your research
