General Info
Boat Model Kits Made in Maine. The oldest models l ship business in the US. The business was founded in 1905. We manufacture over 80 kits. Beginner to expert levels of models kits are available. All casting and fittings are made in our foundry. Many of our models are in museums such as the Smithsonian. The company is owned by Nic and Trisha Damuck. Nic has been a modeler since the age of 4. The gallery has many of the models he has made. He teaches a rigging class every May for 1 week. BlueJacket is Open year round with extended hours during the summer Mon-Sat 9-5pm.

Bluejacket is located directly on Route 1, on the way to Bar Harbor. We are located 1/2 mile East, beyond the village of Searsport.

BlueJacket's larege building has a grey lighthouse attached to the end of it, and a large sign with "Ship Models


BlueJacket Shipcrafters has over 100 ship models on display in our gallery, more than any other gallery in the United States. All of our models are hand-crafted in Maine, by US citizens.

We started in business in 1905, as the official model maker for the US Navy. We have been continuously in business since, over 100 years!

BlueJacket builds models of any kind of vessel: pleasure, commercial, or naval; power or sail; antique or modern.

Our models are shipped all over the world, with many of them residing in the most well known museums.
