Yesterday afternoon while visiting I grew hungry & inquired about the nearest place to eat. I was delighted to hear that there was a place nearby with an excellent double bacon cheeseburger freshly prepared especially for the lucky n perhaps gluttonuos soul who wanders into big al's fine establishment on hwy.267 nearby with an excellent double bacon cheeseburger freshly prepared especially for the lucky n perhaps gluttonuos soul who wanders into big all's fine establishment on hwy. 267. leapt upon the opportunity to experience such a treat. Walking up to the counter I mentioned to the clerk( a nice young lady with an innate talent for bacon cheeseburger prep.) that I understood they had the greatest burgers in existence. I understood they had the greatest burgers in existence. She asked whether we'd be dining in or not & being that I couldn't wait to fill my stomach, I chose to dine in. A gentleman who I assumed was the owner arrived soon after we began eating.Once finished I stood to leave & the man looked me in the eyes saying "u have a good night " to which I replied the same. Feeling renewed & invigorated I thought that was an awesome burger. I'm fairly certain I had not violated any laws personally. So you can understand how shocked, appalled, and basically infuriated I was to later discover that shifty, underhanded, buffoon wasn't just a businessman & is also a law enforcement officer whose own personal distaste for me or my dining companion led to his irrational & disgusting misuse of authority. Somehow justifying the facts that although he was off duty & at his own private enterprise it was perfectly normal for him to begin a full fledged police investigation into two patrons' identity. That is the only atrocity here. I long for the day we can expect some minimal amount of humanity & goodwill from our fellow citizens of this country I love. When instead of secrecy & suspicion, coupled with a general mistrust of everyone, we will as a whole demonstrate that we can care for eachother as we do our own children while being straightforward honest fearless enough to deal with minor incidents directly before involving entire police forces. Thank you for reading of my expirience. sincerely, Robert F. McHale III -be good to eachother.
Before Big Al's opened, hubby and I would have to either fill up in Searcy city limits, or wait until we got to Cabot. Now that it's opened, I can drive there and put gas in my car in between dropping my kids off at daycare and getting to work without having to take a detour from my route. This morning, I stopped in for gas, and accidentally left my debit card at the register. I didn't realize this until I got to work (in Little Rock). I was in a panic and called Big Al's to see if it was there. It was!! The gal I talked to said that she had it behind the register, and I could drop by on my way home to pick it up. I don't know of too many gas station/convenience stores that would do that for their customers. After today, they have a customer in me for life!!
Left my wallet in my work pants a few days ago. Called our uniform company and they verified that they had the wallet and would send it back on the next uniform delivery day. That day came and went and they had somehow lost my wallet. It turned up at this Big Red Store in Searcy (I live in North Little Rock!). Luckily somebody handed it in to the Manager, Lori Jones who proceeded to take the time out of her day to track me down on facebook to let me know she had it. You don't see many good people like that these days. I've never been to this place before but I can guarantee you I'll be stopping there every time I'm in Searcy from here on out.
Best meat anywhere else I have shopped. Selection is awesome and most of all they carry the greatest generic brand... Best Choice!!
