I will start from the beginning. I made a non-cancellable reservation, or I would have turned around and left the minute we arrived. To begin with, there was a horrible smell in the lobby. It smelled like arm pits. Check-in was quick. We arrived at 2:50, and there were 2 other cars in the parking lot. I asked for a ground floor room, and was told that there weren't any available. Later that night, I noticed that there were only 4 cars in the parking lot, including mine, yet there were 8 rooms on the ground floor. Hmmm.....Actually, it was probably a good thing that we didn't get a ground floor room, as there was a not-so-good looking neighborhood directly behind us. As we were unloading the car, a man walked up from that neighborhood, and was staring at my 10 year-old daughter.Once you get on the elevator in the lobby, you can't smell the lobby smell anymore. Our room was modest, which is fine. The refrigerator and microwave worked, but the AIR CONDITIONER WAS ANOTHER STORY. Our stay took place at the end of July. Even after being in our room for 2 hours, our room was still hot and stuffy. It wasn't until nightfall that our room cooled off SOME. It was still hot, even at night. We thought about asking to change rooms, but another guest told us that their A/C wasn't cooling well, either. Hmmmm.....As for cleanliness of the room.... There were hairs in our shower. I cleaned it before we got in it.Okay, the FINAL STRAW for me was the mattresses on the beds. That had to be THE most uncomfortable bed I have ever tried to sleep on. At 3:30 am, I found myself going to my car and getting my air mattress, and blowing it up, just so I could get some sleep.I say that this was the FINAL STRAW because as I was blowing up my mattress at 3:30 am, I told myself, that not only would I never stay at this particular Days Inn again, but I vowed to myself that I would never stay in ANY Days Inn EVER AGAIN. That was just how bad our stay was.
i would tell anyone thateven consider staying at this soo called motel to run away as fast as u can.we rented a room there last nite ,1st it said $40 a nite ,then they charged $60, got in the room was not able to turn on one light in whole room, all light bulbs was blown, except bathroom light, then walked in bathroom an it was about to run over in floor, called the office he never came to fix it until 730 this morning when he came to cuss us out, called my friend a not nice B word, because my niece dropped a bag of chips in front of the door outside, we ask for a broom cuz we was going clean it up, he informed us that his motel property was a $90,000 establishment an he was going call the police over few spilt chips that a 4year old dropped. then he informed us that we was nothing but trash an that is exactly WHY he DOES NOT LIKE RENTING TO PEOPLE WITH KIDS CUZ KIDS ARE NOTHING BUT TROUBLE.. he was very disrespectful.but it was ok for about 15 hispanic men to b layingall over the sidewalk an pavement drinking coronas,, but we was the trashy ones with children. does anyone have any sugestions who i could report this horrible man an the most nasty establishment ive ever seen.
The tour I was with stayed in this "dump" for 2 nights. The heated would not give me heat, and the thing was cranked up. One of the rooms had a huge stain on the carpet. I felt like I was dirty the whole time I was there. They promised us breakfast at Perkins-NOT. It was a continental breakfast. The guy who was keeping an eye on the breakfast bar was talking to himself. Even the outside of the motel was dumpy. The beds were also soft and lumpy. If I could, I'd give them ZERO stars.
I stayed there because the tour I was on booked it. NEVER again. There was NO HEAT, the carpet was filthy, the phones DID NOT work, in fact NOTHING worked. Our group all requested a wake up call, and NEVER GOT ONE. Breakfast was to be at Perkins--NOT! They were "recommended" by the travel associations. I felt like I was filthy the entire time I was in that place. I would rather sleep on a darn tour bus. At least it would be clean, warm, and more comfortable. In fact, I wish I could give them a NEGATIVE 5 star rating. I can not imagine the other review wasn't nice and gave them 5 stars. Don't know why.
