Great record store full of fantastic alternative fare, of the 80s and 90s variety: from Jangly Scottish post-punk faves Orange Juice and other c86 bands to a slew of Shoegaze bands (yeah, those were some Slowdive albums, alright!). Cocteau Twins had their very own name plate. How often do you see that?! The proprietor, Jeff, was awesome and entirely non-intimidating (also: not wearing an ironic tee-shirt, nor thick black-framed glasses!), unlike many clerks at indie record store. I mentioned Chameleons UK and he introduced me to a band I would otherwise never had heard of (Red Lorry Yellow Lorry), which we all then listened to and I, later still, walked out with. And he is looking to stock more Sarah Records! Can't wait to go back!
