If you need home care for a family member avoid VISITING ANGELS!LikeShow more reactionsCommentShare1Valerie Springett8 Shares3 CommentsCommentsBonnie Layland For home care or employment it was a very bad experience. 90% of their so called Visiting Angels have NO medical training at all! They constantly make scheduling errors. Management is very rude & unprofessional. They pay $10 an hour and their expect you to care for the patient, clean their house, do laundry, make beds, wash floors, vacuum, if their is a husband present you are actually caring for two people. They charge patients approx. $45 and hour. And the caliber of their employees is not up to par. There are a lot of legitimate Home Care Centers to choose from. Chose wisely, I would advice you steer clear of Visiting Angels!.See MoreManageIf you have a family member or friend who needs Home Health care avoid "VISITING ANGELS". 90% of their employee's have no medical experience. ( Other than a video they show when your hired?). They do not communicate and often a patient waiting for a care giver sits alone all day! Or they send two Care Givers. They pay $10 per hour you are a care giver, house keeper, cook, and are to be on call 24/7;and expect the employee to give medical care to the patient, clean the house, do the laundry, scrub the floors, also if they have a spouse your taking care of them also *all of this and they pay $10 and hour. But they charge the clients approx. $45. The lack of professionalism goes right up to the Moosic office part owner! She is clueless of what is happening in her own business. If you wont work every weekend and stand on call your taken off the schedule to teach you a lesson? They should change their name to Visiting Angel Maid Service !.

First, The comments left by "Abe P" & "Abraham P." Are the same person. He is part owner with his wife at the Scranton PA location. His comments shouldn't count. Second, Caring Matters is a disgrace to the home care profession and to the Caring Matters corporate office in N.C.They hire anyone off the street. They don't do proper background checks and do not do drug tests on employees. Most care givers they have. Take advantage of the clients. Do bare minimum if anything at all. They don't do personal care correctly if at all. They ignore the clients all together many times. The employees that do do their jobs correctly with love, compassion, empathy & concern. Are treated like crap by caring matters themselves.I do not recommend this company to families or employees. They have been reported to the corporate office for a formal investigation.
