We were on vacation in Scottsdale and did not know the area. We happen to look up this restaurant on the internet at the hotel.. The hostess met us at the door. She was very friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. The waitress was very bubbly and very knowledgable about wines and the food. The food was excellant. If I would have had room for desert I would have had some of the cake she said was excellent. The place was nicely decorated with murals on the walls that looked like you were in Italy. Well it turns out that the waitress is the owner of the restaurant along with her husband. From talking with them we found out they were from New York. They asked us how we found out about their restaurant and we told them on the internet and they had a good review. The review was true. Great atmosphere, good food and resonable prices. You will love this place and we are going back the next time we go to Scottsdale, AZ
This was the best place I have ever been for Italian food. My b/f took me there for our anniversity and it was exceptional. The staff was great and had excellent choices for the menu. We got the dinner for 2 where you can pick like 5 items each. It seems like a lot of food but it's really not. I would recommend the 4 cheese ravioli and the lobster ravioli that my bf had and he said it was the best he's ever had. Also for dessert, we did the berry terimisu which was the best I have ever had. What was even better was the money for the dessert went to support Make A Wish Foundation which I think is a great idea. I highly recommend this place and I would go back again.
A group of five of us stopped in on Friday after work. It is an AWESOME happy hour! The Rosa Sangria is to die for, and all of the other drinks looked great, as well. The food is really what made this place special. Very reasonable prices (especially for Scottsdale) and a good amount of food. I recommend the Blackened Shrimp, the Artichoke Dip, and the Eggplant Fries (my favorite). The deserts are fabulous (there was a caramel/pumpkin cheesecake desert that was to die for, the lava cake was amazing, too!).
What an outstanding experience! My parents were "off the boat" from Italy, so I grew up quite spoiled when it came to Italian cuisine. This is one of the extremely rare restaurants that can bring back memories of my childhood with every bite. The owner/chef, Gianfranco even came to our table. What a charming man! The service was exceptional and our group had a fantastic time in the bar before and after dinner. The piano player was an especially nice touch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The veal is very good, especially the osso buco. The other entrees are hit or miss. The staff is well trained, courteous and prompt (except for the waiter who smells like a cigarette). For about a year the restaurant had a great host/manager who was perfect in that position. It's unfortunate they lost him. Gianfranco should try to reinstate him.
We went there to have dinner during our honeymoon tonight. We have an amazing waiter named Suly. He is really great and he attended all we need with smile and perfectly. Also credit to the magnificent manager named Andrea is really amazing. Not to mention their chef who prepared our awesome desert. Thank you guys we really had a great time.
The restaurant interior is very nice, large with high ceilings reduces the noise level. The staff was very attentive, stopping around to check on things, but not bothering us. Food was very tasty, the Lobster pasta dish had a bit to much hot peppers in it. It left a little bit of that after taste of hotness. We'll be going back soon.
We ate at the Brio at Kierland Commons during our visit to Scottsdale in March. The variety of foods to choose during the "Happy Hour" was wonderful. Other people love it as well, as there seemed to be people waiting to get in to the bar. Kierland Commons is a wonderful area with fun shops. Highly recommended.
We have been to Romano's many times and are never disappointed. Usually we enjoy the pasta dishes but recently I tried a steak with a side of pasta. I was pleasantly surprised how tender and flavorful it was! The service has always been good and the atmosphere pleasant. We have enjoyed everything we ordered.
What a tremendous team you have at Scottsdale Brio. I have found that Brio Tuscan Grill is a restaurant with a heart. GM Matt Sevigny and Exec Chef Joseph Milbert donated pasta sheets towards an Italian dinner at St Patricks Catholic Community to benefit The Children Cancer Center. God Bless Brio
