The company couldn't care less about employees. Refuse to let workers take breaks in 90° weather. Employees must continue to work during lightening storms. Employees have to furnish their own water and ice. If they feel you are too old they do everything to make you quit of will fire you. Government agencies will be notified of how they treat their employees.
It saddens me to see that the only time a person can write a review, is when they are angry. Instead of bringing down a company online, they really should try to fix their inner self. I had the pleasure of working for Maintenance Engineers/Double V Enterprises. I thoroughly LOVED my job there. I enjoyed dealing with everyone in the different locations that we contracted with on a daily basis. Mr. Stewart Herman is Amazing man. He is very generous to his employees and business. This man would always go above and beyond to make sure employees are happy. Cathee Lincoln, FABULOUS woman. She too was very involved in making sure employee issues were handled accordingly. Working in the corporate office, I would have to say they put together a wonderful team of very knowledgeable and professional employees. Now, as far as the complaints.... People are hired based on resume, talents and knowledge of industry. If you claim to be more inclined that what you actually are, your faults will be quickly noticed. This is a business. Money and contracts are not obtained based on personality. They are obtained by reputation, great business ethics and the ability to notice a problem and fix it in the best way that suits everyone, especially the client. If you as an employee are not up to par, then yes the necessary steps will be made to help you reach the level you need to be at or find someone who really is skilled in the trade. Every position that ever opened, tried to be filled from within the company. When that was not possible referrals and applications were sought after. Many of the people who ended up terminated caused major incidents possibly costing a contract or were people not very skilled who hardly worked but wanted more money for their services. There are many employees that have worked there a lot of years with no complaints. So please, if you’re going to criticize a very wonderful business, make sure your facts are straight and the inner anger you have is tamed because otherwise it is just proof of the maturity, skill level and type of person you really are and why you are no longer with the company. Maintenance Engineers has been in business over 50years!! You don’t go that far by being ran the wrong way.
I am responding to the comments made by someone who was either termanated because he or she was unable to carry out there daily task ,or quit because they could not carry out the required assigned task, and was so low they cant even put there name under the comment they made,I had a person working for Double V Enterprise that asked for more work because she or he did not have enough to keep them busy, so I assigned him or her more to do and they complained to corp that she or he was swamped now, and wanted more money ,real set up there part.I do hope that all who reads there comments look at the quality of the person that would make these blanket comments and not sign it because they know that what they are saying is a bold lie .I hate to answer people like this,because they are of low quality and morales. This company thrives off the mistreatment of employees, because of this there is high turnover and employs complete idiotic individuals at the corporate level in Arizona. They are looking for impossible results through individuals without the necessary training and the equipment to get the job done that is assigned to them. When brought to their attention they ignore you and then go behind the scenes and talk about you in an unprofessional manner. I have never seen such an unprofessional company, AKA Double V Enterprises in order to obtain customers as Im sure the Maintenance Engineers name has to be tarnished from all the mistreatment by the owner Stewart Herman and the Vice President Cathee Lincoln. These two work hand in hand degrading laborers who have the look of ex con's. Again I will say this company is completely unprofessional in how they treat employees as well as their customers whom they go to great lengths to talk behind their backs. I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy. I would give this businss 0 stars but unfortunately I had to click on one to submit my comment.
Treats its employees like crap. Goes out of their way to make work miserable. Demands unreasonable results. Takes advantage of contracts. Upper management goes out of their way to falsify contract requirements. Stewart Herman (President) is a liar, Gary Lucas (Regional Manager) will lie to you in a New York minute. List goes on and on. If you are considering a grounds maintenance company, I suggest you look the other way.
