Law Office of Donna Farar Jewett

BUYERS BEWARE!! I found the experience of working with Donna Jewitt, of the Law Office of Donna Farar Jewett, PLLC very frustrating to say the least, and she ripped me off for at least $200.00. The only occasion I can remember things going smoothly were our first meeting. From there, things went quickly downhill. When I received the statement showing my initial $800.00 had been used up in 1.5 hours (she charges $300.00/hour), I called just to see what had happened. I wasn't upset or angry; I just figured some mistake had been made. Donna's assistant Kathy answered, and proceeded to be abrupt and rude, saying something about being charged a flat fee. I was completely befuddled. After a couple of days and a couple of calls with Kathy not going anywhere, I finally was able to speak with Donna. Donna coldly told me that I needed to deal with Kathy on billing issues, and Kathy had authority to make decisions. When I explained I was only looking for clarification about this, I was once again treated badly and rudely, this time by Donna herself. In an email dated 3/20/12 she agreed to refund $200.00 of my money. She said she would do this in a couple of days. To this day of 4/21/12 I have not received any check. I have emailed her and called her numerous times, but she can't be gotten hold of by telephone, nor does she return emails. I am thankful I didn't give more of a retainer, or else I would be out a lot more money. I guess she figures because she's an attorney she can get away with this. Donna, how unprofessional!

Donna handled my custody case back in 1996 - I would not have any other atty but her handle ANY legal issues I had. I have dealt with other attys and none compare to her!

Her compassion and insight, leveled by her objectivity and vast knowledge of the law combine to make her able to solve the most complex of domestic situations. Happily, I work with her professionally and have not had to use her services. Still, were I ever in a predicament, rest assured, she would be the one I would seek.
