I couldn't be happier with my treatment or the staff here. Very professional. I have had a great experience and will continue to come back.
Just for the sake of total honesty, my previous review about time limits and not receiving the contracted quantity of product needs to be modified. This is in regard to being told that my 'plan' had expired and I could no longer receive the quantity of product described by the salesman during the initial sign-up process. I found my original receipt and it does show a 6 month duration for the wafers I was to receive, and there is no mention of the 180 quantity the salesman used to sell the 'plan'. But, there was no verbal mention of a time limit and every bit of the sales conversation was based on a quantity and not a time limit. Shame on me for signing the receipt without questioning the difference. If it had been mentioned in the sales pitch I would have either not signed up or would have managed to receive the total quantity 'sold'. In my opinion this is still a shady practice and new customers need to be aware of the difference between the verbal pitch and the actual paperwork.
My husband and I went in there to get information then we scheduled an appointment. At first glance everything appeared normal and The Urologist seemed to be competent although When I left The Office I had that nagging feeling that He was too slick. After The Urologist left A Salesman took over and talked about the different options and the costs. There again there was this nagging feeling. He assured us several times that if the 2 tests my husband was going to do were not successful we would have our money back minus the 99 Dollar Consultation fee.My husband had 2 injections which did not seem to be working for him, we asked for a refund. They advised that he made another try which still did not work.We became suspicious when The Salesman with whom we had worked was fired. The Manager refused to refund the money despite the fact that we were assured that it would be the case by 2 different Salesmen. We were fortunate enough that American Express took over and we were credited that amount back on our card but I want to let everybody Know that this might be A Scam.Beware!
Don't use them . There are better clinics, like summit male medical . Once they get done with your exam a " salesman" comes into your room to sell you an expensive plan that is limited in time. I used the one month plan and once that month was up they will not give you more meds without another purchase. It cost me $800 for a 6 week period and with out getting all the meds. This place is not the place men should go.
I did get any issue I had resolved. I feel they are very professional. I tried the program, but could not continue. I feel that many men could benefit with their program, but not everyone. Not because of Southwest Men's Clinic, but because of the physiology. I do praise their program.
I visited Dr. Stowell looking for replacement hormone therapy for testosterone. After he took blood samples, he advised me of a regime of testosterone injections weekly. He said it was the best approach to my situation. For seven weeks I went for weekly testosterone injections. After the seventh week, I had a severe reaction, could not eat, could not work, and became very ill. When I called Dr. Stowell and told him I was ill, he was surprised as if he was just giving me a water soluble vitamin, as opposed to a very strong steroid. When I asked him how much testosterone he had given me, he did not even have good records in his system, did not know how many times he injected me, could not even pronounce the precise name of the drug he gave me, and finally told me he gave me 150mg per injection. I had to go to my own records to determine that I had 7 injections. I immediately went to a traditional MD. We discovered my testosterone levels exceeded the normal levels by 300% and that I was suffering from a toxic reaction to excessive levels well past the ability of the body to handle. According to the traditional MD, an excellent doctor, Dr. Stowell failed to take into account both the half-life of testosterone in the system (meaning the time it takes for the body to eliminate prior injections before giving new ones) and my age (I am 64). I should have had a lesser number of injections, more time lapsed between injections, and a small dosage per injections. The net result was an excess build up of testosterone and a dangerously toxic reaction that took me 8 months to recover. Foolishly, I trusted Dr. Stowell that he know what he was doing. This fellow should not be dispensing drugs or writing prescriptions to patients. Clearly he should stick to being a chiropractor and dispensing vitamins.
I attempted to contact at 2:15pm and it just rang and rang and rang. I'm a stylist trying to locate a product. I don't want to drive 15+ miles if they don't even have the products I need.
Dr. Orris and his staff are very knowledgeable, supportive and positive. They’re always helpful in scheduling appointments around my work hours. I know I will be a success with all the support of the WLIA team!!
