Based in Schenectady, N.Y., Oneida Middle School serves more than 600 students in grades six through eight and is operated by the Schenectady City School District. It was established in 1923 and offers a wide variety of academic programs and extracurricular activities. The middle school s academic curriculum includes mathematics, reading, foreign languages, English, science, social studies and physical education. It offers various athletic activities, such as baseball, basketball, skating, volleyball, swimming and football. The middle school provides a wide variety of facilities, such as, an enclosed courtyard, playing fields, gymnasiums, cafeteria, computer and science laboratories, auditorium and library. It also provides various clubs and student organizations, including catering, computer, sports and theater clubs, Odyssey of the Mind, chorus, jazz band, peer mediation and school newspaper.
