Great communication m, friendly..gets them points. I have a 7 yrs Westie who in those 6 years of grooming has never ever has the area from under the bottom of his tail to thru his back lags nears his stomach. Leaving an extreme Mkt unappealing look I have never seen in one of 20-39 haircuts. They shaved idown to basically his skin so it will take forever to grow back to normal. After working with 16-20 groomers I have need seen this hairstyle down once! I'll leave my disappoints to just that one specific thing however, it was enough to make me know want to go back. I don't feel that they were truthful with me about exoerience with giving show quality hc's to westies.

I have a poodle mix that has always had a hard time being groomed but now accepts grooming and her price has actually gone down over the past year since she has been going here. Our boxer mix is a whacko with his nails beiing trimmed but they grind his nails and he has no problem with that! My other little Bichon Frise is a purebred but very old and he is treated like a little gem and is groomed as best as he can be, he has some skin issues. I love these groomers, the owner is kind to my special needs dogs and has brought the short bus dogs on board in no time at all. I think she's right: they just need some confidence. The price is right too, not over the top for handling ""special needs"" pets.
I LOVE Barkie Bow Wows because they love my dog, Annabelle, and it shows! Annabelle is always excited to see them as they are her. Even when I call last minute, they always manage to make room for my dog! I have never hesitated a moment in regards to the level of care and attention that she receives! Thanks Barkie Bow Wows!

THE GOOD REVIEWS CAN'T BE REAL. DON""T DO IT!!!! This is not a true kennel, they have no outside area. If I could give no stars I would. I boarded my 2 dogs and it was horrible. First each dog doesn't get a bed and a toy. We brought our own beds and when they were returned they were full of another dogs urine. The guy who gave them back to me apologized. WOW. Also they were full of another dogs hair. There is no run, my dogs are pretty big so they were put in a 3 by 5 pen. But when I looked in the back most dogs where sleeping on the bare floor in what looked like make shift pens. The dogs only leave that small pen when they take them for a walk. They walk them and then feed them at 830am and 430pm, so when your dog eats its anywhere from 8 to 12 hrs before hes able to go to the bathroom outside of its sleeping area. I watched them walk the dogs the walk its less than 5 min. If you truly love your dog visit this place first, when you walk in you'll change your mind . We had no choice we were from out of town and called 5 other places and they were all booked. My wife cried when we left them there.
Been using Barkies for almost 6 yrs now, on my 2nd dog. They are great. My first beloved pet, Bianca, a miniature poodle, was a head case when she first went in due to unkind handling by other groomers, she was only 2. She immediately had a turnaround in behavior, and was treated like a little queen, the owner said she just needed some patience and confidence building. She was always turned out looking like a little show dog! Bianca passed 2 yrs ago from cancer and I have another crazy dog, Butch, who is a holy terror. He is a rescue mixed Shih xhu and after a few times getting groomed, his price has gone down and he is acting like a little somewhat gentleman. i like these folks, they are down to earth, not "fru fru" like some groomers act like, and they know how to handle dogs. Butch has been boarded a few times and he seems to be happy there.
I've had a completely different exerience with Barkie Bow Wow's. I've been twice. The first time I just had to wait for my dogs for about a half hour after my agreed pick-up time. The second time was a nightmare! I myself was running late to their pick up, by about 45 minutes to an hour. I asked to use the restroom and was allowed to the back where the washing took place. I found my friends dog, who I was also supposed to pick up just being put in the wash sink, and a huge back up of dogs on the floor and in cages all around. I then continued to walk into the back section where the "bed and biscuit was to find those dogs on laying on the cold concrete floor in a dark room. On my way out I saw my two chihuahua's shivering in "drying cages" with a box fan in front of them. Anyone who owns chihuahuas knows that you can't do that, they must be towelled dried or blow dried, and groomers know that as well. I continued to wait for another 30 minutes(and hour and a half after the pick-up time) just for when they brought out my dogs, my girl dog had a bandana wrapped so tightly around her neck I could not fit my little finger underneath to get it off, I had to rip it off and a couple of her toe nails were trimmed too short then continue to bleed on my clothes and car seats for the entire ride home. No doubt their operation is one of the most poorly planned, poorly organized operations in Savannah. They overbook, but cannot follow through so the animals suffer, they also do not seem to take into consideration the breed they are dealing with. To the review posted before mine, your dog is probably happy to see everyone.

Found this place on the internet. We always travel w/ our 3 French Bulldogs and we found the folks at BBW's to be quite accomodating to our pets' very demanding diets. They obviously love what they do here, and our pets were quite happy and comfortable to be there. We picked them up after they had been ""fluffed and puffed"" w/ Georgia Bulldog bandannas on! We will be back!
