When the hotel says "we're going thru a little construction", that's a HUGE under statement. I'll skip thru all the chipped paint. I thought it would be great to have a balcony, until the door nearly took my finger off. As you come in the room the very first thing you notice is the stale smell of mold from the swamp cooler used to somewhat cool the room. It was nice that my room was right next to the ice machine but they didn't tell me it was broke and I would have to go to the 5th floor just to get ice (nice). Parking is 21 dollars a night to park in a 3/4 parking spot (very tight) so unless you're ok with multiple door dents I would suggest parking on the upper level or just take two spots which really equates to one. Internet is $12 a night but if you're an elite member you get the free. I chose this hotel because just last week I stayed at the Marriott in Detroit and it was GREAT. The bar was set high but Savannah Marriott clearly they missed the boat. Oh did I mention my beautiful connex and trash dumpster view? Savannah Marriott, TRULY an unforgettable experience in the very worst way possible! Don't say I didn't warn you

I went there to go to an event that Than Merrill was having. Upon arriving I saw that the parking garage said valet parking only. I called them to find out if a valet attendant would come out to me. The receptionist said I could find a spot on the street to park because the people going to the event were not suppose to park in the parking garage. When telling her that the street had no parking left, she said I could go down the street to use another parking garage. My advice, just don't book any events with them. They will not treat your guests right.

Had a "luxury" full body massage in their spa; I used all of their products (robes, towel, combs etc.) and sat on their furniture/massage table and about 10 days later had LICE!!!!. When I phoned the manager she said "you are the third person" with this complaint, "now I will have to go to my GM". Needless to say, my children and I all have LICE! It is terribly dreadful! We have struggled terribly, constantly wash/comb out nits, changing sheets daily x 4! I have had to buy many products which are expensive; we all have had hair cuts too. When I approached the GM, and showed him the images, he said that he had "turned this over" to his insurance and that "they would be calling me". The insurance rep proceeded to tell me that that manager "never said that" because she never got other reports.. It was a terrible terrible experience; Marriott has treated a guest in a VERY unbecoming manner. Clearly, they do not value their guests. The spa was a ghost town and now I know why.
Hotel was great! The pool was very relaxing and rooms were clean. Management was very pleasant and staff was friendly.
This place is filthy. There is hair all over the place. The phone in my room doesn't work and to top it all off when I got up at 12:30 there were roaches crawling everywhere
Needs updating was old,dirty and very confusing to get around.There was rust dripping from the ceiling in the shower.Due to the conditions we checked out.While I was getting dressed housekeeper opened our room without knocking while I was getting dressed.After discovering that me and my husband left a nice outfit a piece hanging in the closet,the next day we went back to the hotel,they brought my husband's outfit and stated mine was not there.I explained to the Mgr. and she stated I had no proof,I then talked to the General Mgr. and he stated it was not their concern.
i STAYED THERE ON AUGUST 30,2014 THE ROOMS WERE NICELY REMODELED, CLEAN, AND WAS FREE OF BUGS. I WILL SO BE GOING BACK THERE FOR ANOTHER WEEKEND GETAWAY!!!!.

The missplacement of cash for incidentals by one of their employees was very poorly handled by the management staff. Joshua castle. Not at all impress. They did not follow up as promised.
