Dawn is Wonderful..!! I searched for salon in Savannah areas and Riitz Salon was one of them. Luckily, I selected this Salon first, read all positive reviews and decided to call for appointment. Dawn was the person who I was set up to get my hair done and I was pretty nervous to get my hair done with someone new. She gave me the best hair cut and highlighting, I am soo.. happy !! She is very knowledgeable, great personality and very pleasant to talk to. While I was there, I had manicure and pedicure done by Cookie. Oh my God.. !! It was like in heaven. While your feet are soaked in the small whirlpool, your back is being massaged by the massaging chair the entire time. Cookie also gave a great manicure, very precisely done (French manicure). On top of everything, I was sitting next to Mr. James, the Salon owner. He took a little break treating himself on the massage chair and we had a great conversation. Because of all of the positive reviews about his work, it gave me the reason to chose the "Riitz Salon". Everybody in this salon has many years of experience. If you are looking for experienced and matured stylists, "Riitz Salon" is the place to be. You will be very happy with them.
I have been going to Kim Nails for over 10 years and when we adopted our precious little Cera I started taking her too! Her 1st manicure she was only 5 days old! They are very professional and their workmanship is AWESOME!! I wore acrylics for over 30 years and I was very picky about how they looked. When they finished they were very natural looking and people always were surprised to find out they were tips. I preferred the more elegant oval shape over the popular square shapes and they left me looking fabulous every time! I also get regular pedicures and they are the most relaxing ones I've ever had. Another service I have used is eyebrow waxing. The shaping is PERFECT! I've taken the acrylics off temporarily but continue to get regular manicures. Once again these services are the BEST!! The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming to all that enter their doors. It's always nice to do business with people that not only do incredible work but also CARE about each of their clients. I get so many compliments on my nails and so does Cera (she's now 2yrs old). You got to try them FIRST and then you won't go anywhere else! :-)
I recently had my hair colored and extensions sewn in by stylists at Satin Dollz. I called on Monday, I forgot that salons are closed on Monday. But, on the salon's voicemail is a telephone list of all the stylist. I called Sherrie and left a message. She called me back about 15 minutes later. I told her what I wanted. She said she could color it but would have to get another stylist there to sew the extensions. She said she'd call me later because the salon was closed. I really didn't think she'd call back so I kept thumbing thru the yellow pages. I had no success in finding a salon open. Sherrie called me back 30-40 minutes later. I was surprised by the call back. She told me that another stylist;Yalanda would do the extensions but, I couldn't get it done til the following day. Well it was worth the wait. Although, my previous color was faded Sherrie matched it perfect and brought the old color back to life. I was alays told that Asian hair was difficult to color much less add extensions. Yalanda made the extensions look natural. Everyone loved my hair.More importantly, I love my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nikki and Liz are absolutely AMAZING, and the rest of the staff is just as nice and caring! They did an amazing job at correcting a terrible dye job that was done at another salon. I had dark brown hair and made the mistake of going to a different salon to get light brown highlights. They ended up giving yellow highlights, then tried to fix it and turned them copper! They attempted to dye it all back my natural dark brown and I their two attempts gave me red and then jet black hair! I didn't think there was any to get it back to brown, but Nikki and liz were able to lighten the horrible black a ton and able to give some brown highlights with out bleaching my hiar. They also set me up with another appt to slowly help get my natural color all the way back. I cannot thank them enough for the incredible job they did and how caring they were. Everyone in the slaon makes you feel like you are the only client in there. The salon is beautiful and they genuinely care about their clients! You are making ahuge mistake if you go anywhere else for cut or color!
I think the review below is incorrect, the salon is a Nail salon not a hair salon. When you first walk in you do not smell a nail salon, no fumes, just herbs and some nail polish. You are greeted and asked to sign in, and shown the price sheet immediately. The pricing is competitive with other salons and is not overprice. This is the most sanitary nail salon I have ever been to. The service was great. I had both a spa pedicure and a full set of acrylics put on. My friend had their herbal mani pedi and said it was delightful. They mix herbs depending on what type of relief you need. The girl who did my manicure, i found out later, was the owner of the establishment. She was able to answer all my questions fully and give me a great manicure. She knows all the latest techniques. They even have protectors for your hands during gel manicures. Overall this salon has made me never want to visit another in Savannah!
I was in Savannah, visiting for the holidays and got caught in the rain, the day before Thanksgiving. Needless to say, since I needed a relaxer, my hair poofed up and was not cooperating with me. I did online research and found a few referrals, I reached out, one thing led to another and God sent me to Luxe. Kim answered the phone and was nice, and I went with her. When I got to the location; the ambiance was cool, Kim was great and she permed my hair with Mizani... (ordinarily, I would not get a perm with a new stylist, without referral, however, since I was going to be here for a while, I didn't want to run the risk of my hair puffing back up). She washed and styled, and it came out very pretty. I was totally happy at the end. Whenever I'm in Savannah, Kim is my go to for life! Please tell her Tomika from Atlanta sent you!
I had a mani pedi 30.00 special.. both nails salons in the mall offerd this but this salon had no wait... sat down brought my water out late but i wasnt mad because it was free.. didnt really spend much time scrubbing the dead skin off feet . i decided to get mylip waxed as well... MISTAKE... The sat me in front of the whole salon. so i asked to be moved behind the shoji screen for a little privacy awarkard moment #1 .. then right when i got home i started notcing little white head bumps all over my top lip that had been waxed ... I have never had a reaction to waxing any part of my face before and i do it quite often,,, THIS PLACE IS NOT CLEAN! Do not get waxed My nails chipped after 2 days but my toenails are still holding strong.. in need of a new topcoat....
I have been going to Kim Nails for 10+ years and absolutely LOVE them!! Kim & John Doe, owners, run and manage a very professional salon and their work is incredible! I have long acrylic nails and they always look great. I get comments on how good they look every time I go out and others are consistently saying..."I love your nails! Where do you get them done?" Even my chiropractor (a Male) complimented them yesterday! Why would you go any where else when you get compliments every day?!! I also get pedicures, foot & back massages and my eyebrows waxed there. Customer service is EXCELLENT and always greeted with a smile. I always leave feeling wonderfully pampered and look forward to the next appointment. You have to try them.....EXCELLENT!! :-)
I'll have to echo kttalk's review. Maybe it's just me, but as a male walking in for a mani-pedi I didn't get a warm fuzzy from the ownership. It's a family-run business and mama is in charge. I picked out the cheapest level of service I wanted which was a lot more than I wanted to pay to begin with. But being the "gentleman" rate I suspected it was going to be little more. But at the end of the day i was charged the most expensive. It was $65 which included tip. And coming from Atlanta where I can get a mani pedi with tip for $30, prices were way outrageous. I would have expected $45 Max. So I believe I was overcharged. I won't be going back. There are just too many other salons to choose from.
I went recently to have my first real haircut since coming to live in Savannah. I've been hunting for a salon. It was time to finally just bite the bullet and pick one. This one is very near my home. It was a wonderful surprise to call and have them get me in the next day. Pam did the best haircut I've had in many years. Her attention to detail and her professionalism were amazing. The staff are all lovely people, respectful and kind as I've come to expect here in Savannah. The services were more than reasonable for a top quality salon. I had my hair cut washed and styled for $48 dollars. I highly recommend Horst & Co. but, above that I recommend Pam she gave me superior service.
