The invoice I received when I returned the car was correct --- it matched my reservation. The amount charged to my credit card was $10 per day higher (plus taxes and fees). I was emailed a new invoice with the higher rate. No reason. They just increased the daily charge and billed my credit card. FRAUD. I call the 800#. The rep could not make an adjustmetn because they said the Savannah location had sent the account "to collection". And they had already charged my credit card. Once sent to collection, they cannot adjust the bill. So they ripped me off. Scammed. Fraud. Stay away. Too bad because the people we dealt with on site were very nice.
Horrible experience- overcharged by $200 and given a smaller, lower class of vehicle at the desk due to their lack of availability. This is our second bad experience with this location.Manager Lawrence Quiogue will not call me back. We have a business account, but will not be using National/Alamo anymore.
Please read this before renting here... My wife and I rented a car from Payless Savannah international airport when we arrived to pick our car up we had never rented a car before so we were a little confused so the check-in guy outside stopped us and told us park your car over there, a parking spot opposite the rental cars, he told us go in sign papers come get your car and your good to go. So we do and come get our car we make our trip and arrive 4 hours earlier then the drop off time I PAID for. When we got there our car that we left had been towed. We called the Payless counter in the airport and my wife spoke with the man behind the desk. Benard was his name. My wife was asking him why our car was towed and why their employee told us it was ok to park there? The man told my wife I don't know maybe he is new and I don't know where your car is. So my wife tells him you guys told us it's ok to park there so where is my car? He told her it's not my job to know what happened to your car and hung up? I went in to give him the keys and asked him for his last name and corporates number he told me you don't need to know my last name and threw a pamphlet on the counter and said here's corporates number I'm done with you guys bye... So I spent 100 on the car and gas to take my kids home 8 hrs away and now paying for storage and towing and can't get my car til Tuesday cause of the holiday. I could eat the towing fee I should double check before I leave my car but my wife was crying and didn't know how to get home and the guy that represents Payless doesn't help or have any compassion for a family in need and struggling after Christmas with 5 kids when they told us it was ok and now we don't have money after this. A business should pride itself in what people experience if not then what is the point in going there. Good luck payless...
This is a great place to go to buy a car. Les was very helpful and done everything he could to get me into the car I wanted at a car payment that I can afford and to make sure I was just happy all the way around.
Due to the storms roaring through Atlanta on 4/6/17, our morning Delta flight out of SAV was cancelled. We rebooked several times all through the day only to wake up the next morning to learn both flights out of SAV had again been cancelled and we were stranded until the following day. We opted to rent a car and drive to ATL to get home. Booked the car online with no problem. Went to the Alamo counter at SAV, all went well getting the car however when I declined their insurance I was asked for my personal auto insurance and what my deductible was. I wanted to know why and was told if anything, even a chip in the windshield would result in the receiving Alamo at ATL immediately charging my credit card for the amount of my deductible. Talk about fear tactics! Regardless, I again declined. I found our car and the first thing we noticed (after a detailed inspection of the car for any damage we might be blamed for) was the cigarette smoke odor in the interior of the car. I found three female attendants in the outdoor booth to bring it to their attention, again so we couldn't be blamed for it. You would of thought I had three heads and a highly contagious disease the way they treated me! One slid the window open and all three just stared at me without a word. I explained the odor of cigarette smoke and wanted to make them aware. Without the slightest expression, I was asked if I wanted a different vehicle, I declined and reiterated I just wanted to make them aware so no one would think we had been smoking in the car. She looked at the rental agreement in my hand and jotted down the reservation number and said she would let them know....period, end of discussion. I had zero confidence in that so I made my way to the counter in the airport and let them know also. I have never experienced such sorry customer service with any other rental company.
They are awesome! Super nice very helpful and quick.I will use this location every time I need to rent a car!
I travel a fair amount and have never consistently used one car rental, just whatever the travel agent suggests is cheapest. Cars are all the same, right? My recent trip to Savannah found me at the Enterprise desk. The contact with the staff there was friendly and efficient, as was the return experience. Upon arriving back home on Friday, I discovered that I had left a new jacket in the backseat of the rental car. I called the rental number, and they put me in touch with their lost and found. Monday morning I received a FedEx box with my jacket, nicely folded and good as new. My forgetfulness only cost me $10 for the FedEx shipping. Wow! I had written off the jacket as just a stupid mistake on my part, but at my wife's suggest I made the call, and I'm glad I did. This might just be a case of "southern hospitality", but I don't think so; I think it's a more likely the Enterprise corporate culture. Enterprise has my business from now on! And, the Savannah staff has my gratitude.
As an Emerald Isle member, when I arrive I expected to be offered a choice of vehicles and not directed to take a specific car. I insisted on a choice but still was not allowed to take one of the larger vehicles parked in the Emerald Isle spots which I needed due to an extended family vacation plan. I tried to address this complaint with the attendant but the attempt to discuss was ignored. Not at all happy with that situation. No point in being Emerald if you can't get the benefits when you need them.
Good place to get a rental car from. They get you in and out fast , and the car are always clean. The one problem I have with this place is that this place do not have too many full size cars and they end up putting me in a mid size car which I am too tall and big for, but beside that this place is a good spot to rent a car.
The personnel in Savannah were very friendly. The car was new and a pleasure to drive. Two problems. There were old french fries on the floor of the car. Second, after driving 60 miles, I discovered I only had less than 1/8th tank of gas. Fortunately, I only had 15 miles to go to my destination. I assumed National would send the car out with a full tank of gas. I put $29.00 of gas in the car after driving 75 miles. I rented late on a Sunday night. This could have been a disaster!
