Horrid quality, slow work, sent workers off to other jobs while ours was still incomplete, no respect for our home. Ruined our yard, bathtub and dining room set. Pictures say it all. Do not hire.

Too many problems with Bob Babendreier (Sometimes Robert Babenderier or Bob Babenderier) to list. Gouged us with prices on a home remodel and addition (e.g., charged $675 to remove a child's 4x4' garden of pot soil and flimsy wood). Ruined our yard with excavation debris spread through the yard. Cleaned the work site rarely, usually only at our insistence -- neighbors complained and should have! Left lead-based paint chips on my floor in my children's way (in the one spot identified with lead paint during testing). Seemed like he couldn't pull a crew together (one man on a huge job who didn't consistently show up). Many subcontractors worked on the nights and weekends (if ever) or squeezed us in on their lunch breaks. The past three weeks he said siding men were coming to help his one worker. Then, they were supposed to come on the weekend, and then they never showed. His lead man did most of the siding alone (for a two story addition, carrying the pieces up and down) -- not very time efficient and didn't seem safe. Even his contracted workers and subcontractors complained about the quality of the work (things not cut square, painter complained about having to repaint as they scuffed walls painted too early in the project, windows and doors are crooked/racked one doesn't lock or close properly). Scratched my dining room table, bathroom marble floor, and bathtub. Master bedroom ceiling was wet during a leak from a poorly tarped roof. Only really tarped or protected my home or things when I demanded it. And, then sometimes moved items I had protected and didn't re-cover them! Left my indoor rug outside to rot under their tools (see if you can find it in the image I post on google). There is more, but I'll spare you. We are following Montgomery County procedures now to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

PS, It's extremely unfortunate that Home Advisor's reviews of this contractor pop up first on Google. I do not know whether the quality of Bob's work changed, or if those higher ratings were on small jobs, or if they were friends of his. All I know is that they are far from our experience. Yesterday there was one review like ours on Angie's List, and now both our negative review and the one from 2014 seem to be hidden. Beware, please protect yourself.
