Grand China Buffet

They have an ad in the paper they have oysters so I go there so eat only oysters. No oysters! They only have them sometimes on the weekend. False advertising. The food was old and anything fried was soggy. I've lived in Sarasota for 10 years and there are great chinese buffets in Sarasota but this is not one of them.

We are in Sarasota area every year and generally eat at Mrs Chen's (Best so far) on S. Tamiami Trail but this year we thought we would try some other Chinese restaurants. Internet search thru Yellow pages.com gave us plenty of locations to choose from but there were very few reviews. I offer this review for others in the area looking for the best food. Please add your reviews to help us find the best chinese in this area!



This is not the best chinese we have eaten and certainly not the worst. The best thing I can say for the food was that some of the dishes were good but most I would rate as Ok nothing to go home and brag about. The people were friendly.



In all fairness we arrived a little late after the noon rush and maybe the food was somewhat old. We have learned food is always at its best when freshly cooked.

My husband and I eat lunch buffet here, at a cost of $6.25 per person, with a 10% off coupon found in the newspaper. Buffet is one of the better Asian buffets in the area.
