Ember & Earth Photography is not your typical photography studio. It’s not filled with stuffy portraits in gilded gold frames. It’s not overly concerned with formal attire. It’s not focused on capturing a serious, stilted pose. In short, Ember & Earth is not your mother’s photography studio (although, of course, your mother is welcome). This is your photography studio – it’s for your family, your friends, your pets and everyone else in your life who matters to you. Jina and Alex are here to make you smile, to make you laugh, and most importantly, to make photographs you’ll look at over and over again. Photographs you’ll treasure. Ember & Earth specializes in family, children, pet and portrait photography. We love to do casual wedding shoots, maternity shoots, high school senior shoots and even product and advertising photography. With our wide variety of backgrounds and props from red wagons to Christmas trees, we’ll be able to create a look and mood that feels exactly like you. Our studio is in a historic 1925 house in Sarasota’s Towles Court – a space full of that particular kind of charm you can only find in a historic home. And if you want to take things outside of the studio, we offer on-location shoots at beautiful locales throughout the area, from The Ringling museum to Selby Gardens, Siesta Beach to the Bayfront. We also offer studio rental for local photographers and marketing agencies looking to create stunning images for their clients, too. (We love to share our beautiful studio!) Wondering where the name “Ember & Earth” came from? Good question! Jina and Alex wanted a name that spoke to what they each brought to the table. So since everything starts with a spark (and the flash of the camera!), Jina wanted to use the word “Ember.” Alex thought it was important for their company to be friendly, part of the community and down to “Earth,” so they put the two words together, and well, here we are! The bottom line? This is Ember & Earth Photography – Jina and Alex’s studio – but it’s also your studio. So come on by – our welcome mat is out, and we’d love to see you!
