Logical Networking Solutions was originally founded by Jordan Erickson in June of 2002 as a technical support firm for the residential and business sectors. With many prior years experience with computer technology, this was a logical path to lead in helping local businesses and individuals get the most out of their computers. By doing this for many years, we have gained a unique perspective in regards to the technology industry and how normal people ( Read: not computer geeks! ) are affected by it every day. We wanted to start working with school districts starting in 2006 to provide solutions that completely bypassed the ' break / fix' model. Now don't get us wrong ' we are still very successful with repairs due to normal usage and malware infection. However, we wanted to give the youth of the world something they could truly be proud of, something that was rock solid and allowed them to focus on learning. That's when providing open source software solutions in education came into the forefront of our endeavors. The benefits we have seen from this approach has given us motivation to bring it to as many children as possible. No more are we simply computer technicians and network engineers ' we are enablers of sound, open technology which will, in turn, give a new and wider perspective on how it should be used. And with the core philosophies of open source software 'even if on a small scale, we are teaching our children that working together for the good of everyone really works.
